How long to be granted dual citizenship?

I am a Canadian and I want to get my dual citizenship with the usa. (I can get it through my grandpa who is an american). If everything goes smoothly, how long will this take?

Answer:
Are you seeking derivative citizenship from your grandpa? First, your parent who is the child of your grandpa has to be eligible for derivative citizenship, as well as residing for a certain number of years in the US.

When did you file your request for the N-600?

See the site below. Caveat: I do not endorse the law firm; it is just being referred because it is an informative site.

The other site is the BCIS site.

Good luck!
Actually you will not be granted a "dual citizenship". You might be granted a "US citizenship" and since you're already a Canadian citizen, you will become a "dual citizen".
Every case is different and the amount of time varies depending on the circumstances.
An advice: if you get your US citizenship and you come to the US, don't tell the immigration employee you're also a Canadian citizen. They don't like it.
