This is a joke .Right. This is how they waste our tax money.
I don't think they can legally make her pay. Cant you list a public notice that says "I am not responsible for any debts other than my own"
Who spent the overpayment? The first check after her death should have been returned to the local office and told them she had died. Obviously someone took the money. Find out and report them.
Guess some illegal was collecting
