I agree the immigration problem needs to be fixed. The immigrants are not the problem. Many people have answered " The are criminals they broke the law". And it's true they did. But we all break the law. If you cross the street without using a crosswalk you are a criminal, if you speed on the street, highway, or freeway you are a criminal. These people come to this country illegaly, yes they broke the law. But so do we. They do it because they have no choice. Their government helps the rich but never helps the poor. There are many laws that we have in this country that they don't have in Mexico or in any other country. If your family member dies and leaves you a house. You have the house and the resposability of that house. In mexico your family can't leave you the house unless you pay all the fines that go with your Inheritance. You have to pay for you inheritance, it's just not given. This is just one of many laws that we have and they don't. It is wrong to break the law. Yes. But if they break the law to help their family, Should we not show them compassion? And it's not like they are really taking jobs from the American people. And they are not taking all the benefits that the U.S. has to offer. Do a little digging before you start talking about what you feel, but don't really know. And remember 10 illegal immigrants are not 10 million. And see who really is taking advantage of Welfare.
I certainly do not hate anyone. I think the problem is significant, and I do not approve of the actions of people who came here illegally, but I don't hate them.
I agree with you, but the problem is a lot of Americans are stupid. Some are just racist, period. It's how they were brought up.
It is difficult to seperate principles from sentiment. I know some illegals I am fond of, and I sympathize with their situation...However...I can't say deport all but those I know.so they all must go.
Would you have so much compassion if an illegal immigrant broke into your home and murdered your child? I know this is an extreme example that may never happen but it could. Illegal immigrants are criminals hence "illegal".
Yes be mad at our government...ABSOULUTELY, they are IDIOTS, but you have to also be at the MILLIONS of IMMIGRANTS SNEAKING INTO THIS COUNTRY...They know they shouldnt do it and they do it anyway, then they have 100 kids here, so they will be born american citizens...so as far as im concerned, you can have all the compassion you want, but I am sick and tired of compromising my life...WHERE DO YOU LIVE? I LIVE IN NYC...This is a cultural melting pot and I love it, however in AMERICA...We speak ENGLISH.they dont and they dont have too, nor do they want to ...IS THAT RIGHT??? I think they are violating our laws.
I think they are lacking in character, honesty, courage and ethics.
If they truly believed what they claim, they would be doing their protesting against the corrupt government, the corrupt military, and the criminal police departments in their home nations.
They would be demanding a free enterprise system so they would have the opportunity to prosper without having to leave their friends and families to obtain that opportunity in the U.S.A.
They should go home and vent their frustrations there rather than coming here and breaking our laws!
Some people keep forgetting that there immigrated ancesstors built the country & thats what made America special .
I don't hate illegal immigrants.
On a broader scale I don't support any racist groups. This means I don't support the KKK, The black panthers, some racist members of La Raza.
I am more annoyed with how the problems are not being handled such as hospitals shutting thier doors and how there are many flaws in the system due to passing laws that are easy to exploit.
With every group you are always going to find those that are racist and only care for themselves. It doesn't mean all are that way.
I can't blame all of our woes on just illegal immigrants.
The illegal immigration issue.compounded by a specific group who is trying to change our language and in general not attempting to assimilate.
We had an article in our paper today about a place for people to go for help. It was founded by hispanics to basicly just help hispanics. They changed the name to the Spanish center or something like that. Problem is ..the services are federally funded and they cannot just serve hispanics. So they had to change the name to a more neutral name so others would know they had access as well. The community was majority Spanish with a few blacks and fewer whites and the Spanish community was livid and caused a huge up-roar because they didn't want a neutral name...they wanted it to be Spanish, for the Spanish and liked that it left the funds just for them by having a name that made others feel it wasn't for them. Now they risk loosing federal funds if they don't make it accessable for other people. They don't care because they want it just for them. Now folks..that's racism and it's using language as a barrier for other citizens to gain access to services paid for with our tax dollars. They said they are the majority so therefore shouldn't have to change it. Now when the "majority" just gives benefits to just their people and not others who need it..that's racism.
We've had them oust principles when a school became majority hispanic and their kids wanted a hispanic principle..not a black one. That's racism. Through and through.
They want our funding, they want our freebies, but they want it only for their people and that is wrong. And they are using their "majority" rules attitude to support their blatent racism and their language as a further means to discriminate against others.
So there is a dual problem with this situation that can't be ignored.
The illegals for the most part who come into this country act racist,rude,disrespectful and refuse to assimilate. They then demand rights and benefits that not even the citizens get. Do you expect the citizens to be anything but angry and hateful towards them? Ofcourse,I feel just as angry and hateful towards the people who allow it and trust me my government gets an ear full of that anger everyday but the illegals themselves are just as bad.
illegals are the biggest, rudest people out there!! how can they come and disrespect our country and our flag and then expect us to welcome them with open arms. they are the ones bringing on the hate, and yes i am also blaming the government along with the illegal criminals!!
Don't hate them I just don't believe they should be allowed to come into America and become a citizen without paying their dues.
You shouldn't hate the people, that is true. I know plenty of smoking people and they aren't criminals. I think its the governments fault, they ignored their problem, and now they have to pay the consequences. Amnesty is the answer. If they would have had had the problem under control, we wouldn't be hearing about it right now would we?
