Because of people like GW Bush, McCain Graham, Kennedy, Cardinal Balony (Los Angeles), The ACLU, every liberal politician out there, they refused to enact the laws, allowing the illegals to think they were entitled to anything they could get.

I think they are mislead by the media in their countries. Also by word of mouth. I think the US is hyped up by stories and by people that know someone who knows someone...who moved here, and whatever.

They're already given free health care in CA. Hospitals are not allowed to ask for payment until after the paitents are seen. All the illegals have to do is skip out and that's that. And that is why some are trying to make mandatory health coverage for all. Everyone will get poorer health care, but the hospitals will get something for the illegals.

As I deal with Illegals and legal Immigrants everyday, I run into this attitude.That sense of self-entitlement is not the root of the problem...it is merely the symptom.That sense is thrust forward because as a whole, they have been down-trodden in trying to eke out a living in a country that doesnt care for it's own people.years and years of being looked down on.their sense of self worth is battered everyday.the only thing they have left is a sense of pride...and if that fails, they will simply fall apart...now...I am not defending them...but I DO understand them...most of this is due to a country that is either corrupt, destitute, and without much hope for their future...then they come here, and lo and behold, they have found THEIR idea of the American dream..now if you were them, wouldnt you fight to keep what you just found? I think I would...however it doesnt make what they are doing right...but we cant just blame them...we have to point our fingers at the greedy little govts like ours, like Mexico's, like the Philippines and the Haitians...I can go on and on...but we as citizens, are now faced with the stark truth that our way of life is being seriously threatened...And my family comes first in my eyes...so does my country...The answer lies on Making our politicians accountable for their actions...and we need to rise to that challenge to do just that...
As for the other part of the question, no, I dont think they should get free medical care...when they put their time and duty into this country as I and many other Americans have...and become citizens the LEGAL way, maybe...but then every other American should have it too.
