Is there any protest against the new UK immigration point system?
I've seen on the BBC last month that the UK is about to start a point-based system for immigration, the more skilled you are , the more likely you are to get in the uk; and I was wondering if anyone was complaining about it. ? if yes could you send me some websites about it?

Answer:
I won`t be complainin.. it`s about time we stop importing dole dossers. We`ve got plenty of our own thanks.
And don`t you know how small and crowded this Island is..
I think the situation with immigration in the UK is so out of control that anything that attempts to get it under control is going to be broadly acceptable.
I'm not aware of any significant campaign against the new immigration points system.
I think it's a good idea. A country has every right to choose who is allowed into their territory.
i think the points system is a good idea
In principal I think that a points systems for the HSMP (I don't think they use a points systems for any other type of immigration) is a good idea but having looked at the 'calculator' I think the priorities are all wrong. Is being aged under 27 really worth more 5 X more points than having optained your degree in the UK? Also, the same earnings bracket is worth more points if you are from one country than if you are from another. I know this related to exchange rate but it is still unfair because jobs can be regarded with more importance in some countries than others.
