Will Hispanics enventually out number whites in America?
K, the type of immigration the U.S. is disturbly concerned about is the Hispanic immigration. There are numerous reasons for that. Americans want America to consist of mostly white Anglo Saxsons. There's a fear that the Hispanics are taking over America. There are record numbers of Hispanics here now that are making demands (social services, Spanish everywhere, separate communities, separate schools, etc). Hispanics are having babies in record numbers and the cycle continues (whites are not). Should America consist of mostly Hispanics? Will the dominate language be Spanish? What about English?? Will Hispanics out number whites? What will our country turn into? That is why the Hispanic immigration is a concern in America.

I think they already do out number us and will soon out number all races. They refuse to assimilate so if things continue the way they're going, I can't see this country being anything but another Mexico.
Chee you are correct in the fact that until recently statistics of all sorts lumped hispanics into the white category which brings up a great point that nobody mentions. A lot of crimes committed by hispanics were blamed on people of Euro decent since they were put in the white category.
You know as well as I that white is a term used for us European Americans. Trying to say in any way shape or form that hispanics are white is almost as ridiculous as the statement you made last night about how poor people in the U.S. choose to be poor.
Well, if we don't secure borders, we will have too many people, and many from Latin America..We really need to get control of our borders and secure them and that will be no easy job.I don't know if Hispanics/Latinos will take over US, right now there are about 20% in our population.Don't buy into all those stereotypes.
if that does happen i can guarantee you i will be moving out of the country! i cant handle the ones that are here now but if they start to out number me i can not take that!
Why do so many people believe that Hispanics are out to change the United States? (please refer to it as the United States and not "America" because by definition, all Hispanics are also "American".)
Who are we to say what the US should consist of? We have been an ever-changing population since the 1500's and that is what the country was founded upon, freedoms and choices. If Latinos prefer to speak Spanish we should be able to. No one is requesting that Spanish be everywhere, but many companies are doing so because they know it will increase their overall profit. If we are discussing who is causing the most change in the United States, it's not the Latinos themselves, but the organizations and profit-driven companies that are hoping to make more money by catering to Latinos.
According to US Census results, Latinos will be the majority population in the US by the year 2125. My suggestion would be for everyone to start teaching their children the value of diversity and appreciation for cultures different than their own...just a suggestion.
Statistics show that immigrants have a higher birth rate than non-immigrants. This basically means the first generation children of immigrants will have a lower birth rate than their parents. I do not really see hispanics all of a sudden becoming the majority and I do not see them becoming it in the future, mainly because the studies have shown with all groups birth rates will start to fall. Currently the US pop is still 70 percent white I am guessing that this will probably come down to around 60 or 55 percent after the influx of hispanics and when their birth rate levels off.

That is not the reason we are opposed to illegal immigration. It is ruining our children's education by causing our schools to be overcrowded and fail. It is closing hospitals. The volume of poor people coming that we have to subsidize is many, many times too large.
These are basic immigration policy concerns. Those trying to turn it into racism are just trying to discount legitimate opposition. That, too, is a classic response.

Hispanics may very well outnumber non Hispanics one day. Your use of the word White is incorrect, Hispanics are categorized as White since they are not Native, Asian or Black..
Those who are demanding those things are often the illegal immigrants who come here to earn better money but who don't to be a US citizen. I don't think they will out number whites in the whole of the US but in individual states. Those who are making these demands really don't want to live like a American they just want the money and rights that come with it. That is why i refuse to learn Spanish i live in the US why should i conform to their language because they don't want to learn/speak English.
There is a lot of different ethnicities within the Hispanic category, including white. The media mostly portrays Hispanics to be of mostly dark skin, which is not the case. There is Hispanic white, Hispanic black, Native Hispanics, etc.
So there is a bunch of races and ethnicities within the term 'Hispanic' but most ppl think of Hispanics to be of dark skin.
The majority of Latin America is 'mestizo' (mix of Native American and European)
As for outnumbering non-Hispanic whites, I don't think so. They will just grow as the largest minority group but still a minority.
Don't believe in everything the media tells you, and don't listen to too many sterotypes.
The only people in this country that believe the average American is now a mono-lingual White Caucasian are the very sheltered.
Immigrants move to this country to succeed in a free-market, capitalist society. The only issue in question is to what extent one can expect minority groups that number in the millions - and account for most of the growth in the labor force - to integrate into some outdated, preconceived notion of "White America." That is not realistic.
That being said, it is hardly something to fear. It is simply the world that we live in - demographics.

3. It's not Hispanics that are overrunning us. It's low income, low education Hispanics that are overrunning us. It's true! The simple fact is that a couple of higher education will produce 1-3 children while a low education couple will produce 5-9 children. Native born citizens and those that legally come here are usually of a higher education than illegal immigrants (from all over the world, not just Latin America). It's a simple fact that many illegal immigrants wouldn't pass the education and English proficiency tests that are required for entry. It's why they migrate illegally (that and money and drugs and criminal activity, etc.).
4. Many Latinos cannot trace a mixed heritage. Orginally, in Mexico "mestizo" was what one was called if they were Spanish, but Mexican born. They were considered second class to native Spaniards. It was only when Mexico became it's own power and recognized Indians as people (not an over night thing) that they began to recognize a mixed blood. Orignally, if you were 1/10th Indian, you were Indian. I know a number of Mexicans that are a straight Spaniard descent. Yet they still insist on "Latino". And Spaniards don't want to be associated with "Hispanics" at all. Fact is, "Hispanic" is not an ethnicity, it's a mixture. Being a mixture myself, I've not seen the point in making a difference between "Hispanics" and "Whites". There are no pure bloods anymore anywhere.
5. Spanish won't be the dominant language. Chinese is more likely as it's the largest world language. Spanish is number three, even if we count second-language speakers.
6. Our country, like the rest of the world, is evolving. Questions like this one, even though I loved answering it, just exacerbate the issue. Fact is that we've always been concerned with immigration. The tide of illegals is addressed every 20 years or so in one way or another. Chinese, Irish, Scots, Bosnians, Hispanics, Africans. All races take their turn at the whipping post. I don't condone illegal aliens, but I don't think letting them stay helps us either. A continuing problem like illegal immigration is a symptom of a larger cancer. (and a world-wide epidemic as UK, Australia, France, Cananda and Mexcio-with it's Illegal Panamanian workers- can rightly attest.)
If things don't change, like our fickle southern border or our lax immigration policies, then they will outnumber us. Whites care more about being wealthy due to our capitalistic, individualistic society than having kids so the average birthrate for whites is around 2.2kids per family(or somewhere close to that). Less Kids=More wealth. They care more about having money than contributing to their culture and country.
I can only just wonder if the situation were reversed how other non-white groups would feel about their cultures being overwhelmed by ours.

For those who keep comparing the Italians, the Irish, the Germans, to the illegal Mexicans, my question for you is:
Did the Irish and the Italians and the Germans try to hang on to and abuse the gorvernment's resources like the illegal Mexicans and other illegals? did the above mentioned races systematically steal others' identity so they could reap the harvest of other's credit and credit line?

Yes, Hispanics will most likely outnumber whites, and yes, they are reproducing at a higher rate and generally have less education than whites. Our duty as a nation is to integrate them into the system without discrimination, just like we did with the Irish and Italians in the nineteenth century. Education is the key to success. If we want Hispanics to be able to manage the system just like anglo saxons are doing it now, we need to put aside all the racial differentiation and offer them the same opportunities. They are the future of America, and if we want America to stay a great nation, we need to stop pointing fingers and embrace them into our culture. Is this possible? Yes. Irish immigrants can be greatly compared to Hispanic immigrants today. They were accused of being drunkards, forming gangs, refusing to learn English for those who came from the country side, and overall not assimilating. Yet, today we see that the people with Irish ancestry have succesfully become a part of this country.
Now, if you think that all these negative things are engraved in their genes, you are just plainly racist and a coward. People are people, and there is no difference regardless of skin color.

Probably most of our population will eventually tend to have Latino ancestry at some point in the future. However, as with all past immigrant groups who were viewed as threatening the Republic, they'll speak English and be thoroughly integrated into our society to the point that they'll share the common English-speaking predisposition to be resistant to learning any other languages. Remember that 150 years ago it was the thoroughly English-speaking Irish immigrants who were viewed as bringing their alien religion to America and...well, gosh, threatening the Republic. Then it was the Italians. Then it was the Germans, etc. Just take some aspirin and put a wet cloth on your head and calm down. Hey, if immigration continues we'll at least be rid of Shorty_394 or whatever number she's got attached and her ilk.
The reason why, you hear most hispanics speaking spanish rather than english is because about 65-70 percent where born in Latin America. You see it takes generations to assimilate into the American way of life, especially if the only affordable places to live in are neighborhoods where the spanish language is the dominant language. Italians where no different and they had it so much easier than hispanics. If you're xenophibic and rather live in a all white world Antartica might be your last chance you have. Good Luck!
