The Dream Act?
I would like to know what is everyones opinion on the matter. And why?
Answer:
This is immigration amnesty I can understand. First of all it is for people brought here as minors. Secondly they have to prove that they are willing to go the extra mile and either get educated or serve the country through military service.
Whats with these cop outs. Why can't they just go by the law and make everyone do it the legal and right way?
Anything is better than yesterdays resolution. Time to seal the border. With a wall. A big, big, wall and armed gunman with permission to shoot.
I'm for it, denying education is perhaps the most ignorant thing I've ever heard.
Which crazy place in the world wouldn't want more intelligent college grads, more military power in their society?
i dont like it because illegal is illegal. if everyone stole, should we make it legal, because everyone is doing it. the government is looking for the easy way out of their mess.
I say every American should go out and break the law tonight. See where that gets us.
They came here illegally. We have laws in place so that these matters don't turn into huge cluster...you-know-whats, for a reason. I don't believe we should raise the white flag and give these people what they want.
It's nice how everyone forgets these are ILLEGAL immigrants. Plenty of people legally enter the US every year to work, go to school and maybe become citizens. Anyone, despite their age or how long they've been here, who came here illegally should be deported.
There is no other law that rewards instead of punishing the people who break it. Even for citizens.
I am against it. OUR OWN children were not brought here illegally at all and haven't illegally taken education funds and classroom space from other children for every year they were educated here, already. Our own children, many of them, are not able to afford college. Why on earth should our children be punished by chaneling more money to those illegally here, instead of to our own children?
Their children are not more important than our own.
And the very FACT that the Dream Act remains in the new proposal shows that they do NOT expect the proposal to solve the problem. If it did, who would the act cover?
Whoever came up with this is BRILLIANT!
They were brought here by there parents well some of those had the chose to tell the local cops in mexico hey my family is leaving and did not so they are aiding the criminals. Thats a crime. they also have to leave for they themselves came and live here illegaly.
College is not something guarenteed to citizens. I live in a state where they allow illegals to go to college on in-state tuition. Now they want federal funding because they want it for free. We have our own kids who don't get a free pass for school even when they do financially qualify. They work their way through. It's NEVER enough. I mean they no more cave in and give them a break that they aren't demanding more as if they are ENTITLED to it. More than what our own citizens get.
