Pending U.S. Citizenship?
I'm trying to plan a vacation outside the U.S. I am a legal resident, but now my U.S. citizenship status is pending. Does anyone know if I can leave the country while this process is pending? Or do I have to wait 'til it's "all said and done" before I can go anywhere???

There are several different ways in obtaining your citizenship, and in some of those cases, you are not allowed to leave the county, this will put out of status, and like I said depending on "how" your obtaining your citizenship, you are allowed to leave and return and sometimes you might have to get special permission. So, check with your INS center, or give more informaton on the type of status you've applied for to become a citizen.??
Did you receive and I-551 resident visa? If it is still pending but you have that visa in your passport I would imagine it is safe.
My husband has his I-551 and they screwed up the birthdate so it is pending but he can go home and re-enter with no complications :)

As long as you have your passport, there shouldn't be any problems.
Yes, of course you can travel while your citizenship application is in process as long as your green card is still valid and still in your possession. But be very careful not to miss any of your appointments with CIS.
