I agree the wording needs to change in letters to Senators. The Senators keep saying "I oppose amnesty! But if we underline this word, here, it won't be amnesty, and THEN I can support it!'
There are REASONS we had limits in our laws, and our schools now are a very good poster child for why we need them.

Yes I do but I also tire of people telling me we are a "nation of immigrants" and that we do not want "immigrants" inside the US which is NOT true, most welcome those who followed the law to become a citizen, it shows respect for our country and I personally am more than happy to have proper citizens in the US within the guidelines that we currently have on immigration - which by the way are meant to PROTECT our citizens. Maybe we need to PC the heck out of these words also...

No, if amnesty does pass it will be very bitter pill to swallow, but the cause of illegal immigration will continue, because amnesty will only bring more of the same. As it did in 1986.
Apparently illegal people have more power over legal people. Legal individuals work so hard to abide by all the rules. I have witnessed this personally and it's down right ridiculous. I don't see any danger with legal immigrants. At least they didn't break the law.
That numbers site is ignorant and kind of selfish. It says all the problems "illegal" immigration causes but refuses to address it's root cause: corruption many times caused or encouraged by the U.S.
You all Americans need to start having more kids, I don't know what is you all problem only having one baby per family. You all give very beautiful kids usually with blond hair and blue eyes. Just give more birth and those statistics wont become a reality.
Right now the issue is abiding by the law since 12-20 MILLION haven't. Then there is going to be a major wake-up call that we don't NEED nor can we afford or maintain our extreemly liberal legal immigration numbers without going under as a nation. There are limits and we cannot sustain this for long. There are those that keep thinking if they see a spot of grass.there's room for more..but looking at the issues we face today it would be impossible to keep this going on indefinately.

Well, the legal is legal as the illegal is illegal, like you have legal drug and illegal drug, but the problem with the immigration is that most of the people think that all the immigrants are illegal and that is not true. So if the issue in the congress was the definition of what is illegal and what is not, I think so they have a big problem. Because that word are not synonymous, but I think so that they another argument beside that, because according their definition that is not a good one, but the big Deal is the money, is just about amine How much money the 2 million illegal immigrant as can inject in the country think about that. And look for the mean in of the word immigration, you going to have a better idiea what is ilegal and legal.
