If I am arrested in England, will the record be part of my file in the United States?

Answer:
Yes; via international law
No, but it is still accessible to those in the legal industry if you do something illegal.
No. A persons record does not even move from state to state. If they need to do an extensive background check they will know about your priors in England. However, they tend to do a basic check.
yes, if you intend on immigrating(permanent resident). They check applicants for what is called Good Moral Character(GMC) you must show that you have a GMC to become a Lawful Permanent Resident or LAPR.
It matters not where you get busted my sad friend...your record will follow you anywhere in this modern paranoid world of ours.
Most especially if you are an American citizen since 911 !
Come on, please.
Just travel and behave yourself, can't you? :)
Have a nice day Yank!
Davey.
Not necessarily. The entity that is performing a background check will have to request this information specifically. I have seen one instance in which a city business applicant had mentioned a criminal history in Europe, but the city detective decided not to bother with the check. Probably due to extra costs etc.
If you go to England and commit crimes, and get caught, you will be deported never to return to UK and the crime you commit will be in the hands of the US. Other European countries have the liberty to ban you from entering their country too. You will be screwed every which way. No pun intended... sorry but I'm specifically speaking of FREEDOM.

Sweetheart, you don't want to go to England. Stay here. Yes, they will have a file linked with the US Embassy but that is not all. It's VERY difficult trying to get set up in another country unless you get dual citizenship which is no longer easy to do. Especially with UK, you have to have been there at least 2 years to apply and all this other stuff.

Not only that, the government set up is much more complex than here in the US and the cost of living is higher in UK. Getting a Visa is hard unless you can get work in the UK but they will hire other European countries before the US. It is not as easy as people think! Not like 10 years ago.

The way I look at it, The US and UK are brothers and have a fairly nice foreign affair with one another..Stay here!
Yes through Interpol.
