Is there way to check someones legal immigration status?

Is there a website to see if someone is here legally or not?f Is this info open to the public?

Answer:
I don't see why you would want to concern yourself with that. Maybe someone out there is asking the same question about you.
There is no centralized database of green card holders.
I don't know about any website but if you cared that badly about whether or not someone was a legal immagrant or not you could go to the national archives in D.C.
yes but a private citizen can't go there
I don't know about the public but employers can check - they just don't
I dont think so.
