Do u think Fla. is right doing away with the term Illegal Alien isnt Mexican Explorer better term?
Answer:
LOL...LOL...LOL that's a good one Mexican Explorer... I guess the maid should be called " the house chore Manager"..... or the toilet cleaning lady should be called " Restroom manager" THe fact is they are Illegal Aliens. A student that comes here LEGALY is called a Legal Alien..you knew that right?
Mexican: (n)a native or inhabitant of Mexico, or a person of Mexican descent. (adj)of or pertaining to Mexico or its people.
Explorer: (n)a person or thing that explores. a person who investigates unknown regions.
First to be considered an explorer they would have to be actively investigating or attempting to discover something new. Sorry nothing new here to see. In a broad sense, it's already been discovered. Second, as it is used Mexican Explorer, mexican is in the adjective form. So this would imply that they would either be exploring on the behalf of Mexico or on behalf of it's people. Since we know they are not here for their home country but rather for themselves, it makes this an invalid term for them. The other problem is this term also negates the fact that it would lump all Mexicans in the US as Mexican Explorers, both leagal & illeagal. For we do realize that there are leagal Mexican Immigrants here. Ones that work very hard I might add, that are willing to contribute to the country not just to themselves. I think it unfair to those who are law abiding to be yoked with those that are not by this blanket term. They don't even have the term Mexican right with this method. After all it is not only Mexican nationals who attempt or gain entry to the country illegally. Therefore it us unfair to Mexicans to single them out with such a term. Since many of them are wonderful people albeit like our country as well as other, some of their citizens are not.
Now lets look at a few other deffinitions:
Illegal: (adj)forbidden by law or statute. contrary to or forbidden by official rules, regulations, etc.:
Alien: (n)A resident born in or belonging to another country who has not acquired citizenship by naturalization (distinguished from citizen). A foreigner
Illegal Alien: A foreigner who has entered or resides in a country unlawfully or without the country's authorization. A foreigner who enters the U.S. without an entry or immigrant visa, esp. a person who crosses the border by avoiding inspection or who overstays the period of time allowed as a visitor, tourist, businessperson.
From this we can deduct that Florida or anyone for that matter that tries to call them as something other than what they are clearly defined as, are doing so in error. While we are here, let us take a look at some more deffinitions as well.
Legal: Permitted by law; lawful. Appointed, established, or authorized by law; deriving authority from law. Recognized by law rather than by equity. A person who acts in a legal manner or with legal authority. An alien who has entered a country legally. A person whose status is protected by law.
Resident Alien. An alien who has legally established residence in the U.S. An alien who has legally entered the U.S. as an immigrant with the intention of becoming a citizen.
These are the kind of aliens we welcome with open arms. Legal & Resident Aliens. Those citezens of other countries that desire to come here legally, either permanently or under temporary circumstances. It makes no difference as long as they come willing to contribute to our society by either brining they own unique concepts that will add to our own or just to share in our society.
no because there isnt only mexicans coming over here. theyre from all over so i believe that you are wrong'
