That's why no one wants to be a border agent, its a very hard job. And its bad enough us seating here from the comforts of our desk wandering why they are not protecting us, and those in congress do the same thing. immigration is everyone's problem.

Border guards should be allowed to shoot at unarmed persons who are running AWAY from the United States, then hide their brass and file a false report just as any police officer who feels like it should be allowed to shoot you with impunity.
I think it is total crap they had 750 pound of marajuana in the van if it would of been a state patroll officer it would of been ok. So what is the point of our border guards.

They also gave him immunity before he was caught by the border guards, and what did he do with it? He snuck back in with an even bigger amount of drugs and got himself shot. Serves him right. While two good men do time, that worthless drug peddler is free.
That has turned into the most thankless job there can be. The pro legal were all about the rules on this one only they also seem to be saying such rules cannot apply to illegal aliens. This will just keep the border patrol down.

I am sorry about the Border Patrol Agents, but you are steering away from the facts. Both Compean & Ramos fired at drug runner after he was heading back to Mexico side of the border. More than Fifteens shot were, hitting the runner in buttocks. Both Compean & Ramos did not know about the drugs until Supervisor and other Border Agents arrived and search the area. Compean & Ramos did not file the proper paperwork which is a Felony in the Criminal Justice System. Compean & Ramos tried to cover up this. You are trained the only time you discharge your weapon, only when you or innocents are in immediate harm ways. The runner had no weapon, and no weapon was found. There was no threat to the Border Agents. He was shot with "taxpayer-funded bullett". So treatment must be provided. I do not agree with running drugs. They had a trial 12 jury members found them guilty. I THINK YOUR QUARREL SHOULD BE WITH THE JURY.
