While within the "legal " range of the Homeland Security Act. BOA is still on shaky legal ground. This could fall under the realm of aiding and abetting which is a federal felony.
With the recent stock market fall and the tighter restrictions of the use of sub prime lenders,due to being a risking venture. BOA and the other banking institutions that are doing the same thing as BOA,will be doing far less lending for mortgages ,cars etc.
I personally moved my personal accounts from BOA and also Chase. I am in the process of moving my business accounts also.
If this lax rules also applied to legal citizens it would perhaps be less offensive to me. But it does not. I feel it is anti-American in nature and I will never use the banks that are participating in this ,ever again. National City Bank and almost all credit unions are not involved in this risking business practices.I'm sure there are more but I do know personally about National City bank.
Our government has proved to me ,thru its lack of effort on the illegal alien issue ,that it will do nothing to stop any form of "Big Business " from undermining this nation and all of us legal American people.
They are people, they are not from outer space, they are not aliens.
I don't want criminals, but people who work hard and contribute to our society are OK, but I would rather they COULD stay at home.
BofA was built on giving small loans to people who could not get loans from any one else. This is from their roots. I have a BofA card and I am going to keep using it.
We should do what we can to make living conditions in their country such that they want to stay home. We should help their country deal with overpopulation and poverty. My local church supports projects in Central American countries. I support my local church.
The problem of loaning money to people with no Social Security number is there is no way to do a credit check. What if the people with no SSN skip out on their loans? The banks will not lose out, the people who put their saving in the bank will lose. It is a stupid and risky business practice.
I'm moving my accounts from BofA. I think corporations should be better corporate citizens. They are entitled to have their program, but not using my money.
