You are in your own little dream world. Canadians do NOT immigrate to the US en masse either legally or illegally because their country's economy is nearly on a par with that of the US and in many ways even surpasses that of the US. Mexico, on the other hand, has a much lower economy and a corrupt government, so yes, Mexicans and Central Americans DO come to the USA illegally en masse.
Where do you get your information from---the bottom of a bag of marijuana? We don't have a problem with Aliens illegal or otherwise coming FROM Canada. Mexico YES but people who live in Canada generally want to STAY in Canada.it is a beautiful country with LOTS of advantages and Socialized medicine (and cheaper prescription medication) the only thing up there that is worse is the price of gas (petrol up there)... and maybe the cold temps... other then that, a LOT more people from the US tend to move TO Canada! I have been in and out of Canada SEVERAL times and it is actually very strict to get INTO Canada ----someone like me who has a pre-existing long term health condition would NEVER be allowed to permanently live in Canada because I'm not a resident or citizen of Canada...The Canadan people are WONDERFULLY friendly and curteous (with the possible exception of SOME--NOT ALL-the people in Quebec who tend to not be as friendly towards Americans as they are in the more British parts of Canada---like British Columbia and the central provinces. A lot of AMERICANS who live in US/Canadian boarder towns often make their living in Canadian companies and vice versa...but as far as illegals from Canada, I would say NO ... more people from the US would try to get into Canada then the other way around. Check your facts out before you state them in here.I did.
I think NAFTA is the reason we have so many illegals coming into this country..When I go to Mexico, the inflation rate is very high.EVERYTHING is very expensive contrary to what people think.This happened because of NAFTA.It didn't used to be so expensive before NAFTA.What NAFTA did to Mexico is put a lot of small business people out of business and if know anything about Mexico, much of its economy is based on small business, much more than here.They couldn't compete with all the American products coming into the economy...After seven years, NAFTA has not delivered the promised benefits to workers in Mexico, and few if any of the agreement's stated goals has been attained.
I can't speak for Canada.I do know Canada has an aging population and have far less citizens and residents.It is easier to go to Canada legally, than can come here.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but the complete madness of this amnesty proposal does make me wonder. Why would western countries all over the world allow so many immigrants from thrid world countries who, this time around, are not assimilating but loudly and somtimes violently trying to force the culture they left onto their new country?
People, even Tony Blair's wife, keep intimating that somehow poor and/or repressed countries are upset because the western way of life is better and they feel that they are entitled to that life. Why lower the standards for every country by allowing them in en masse? How will the poor countries raise themself up by losing people?
Europe has definitely started feeling the effect before any of us, and they're pusing the "Euorpean Union". Some parts of their cities are complete no-go zones where it's even too violent for the police to enter. They are having to change their laws for them. And now you see our government do something like this even though they can SEE what path it's taken elsewhere. Makes you wonder.
