Where to get birth certificate of parents born around 1908?
Answer:
Until 1960s or 1970s there was no system of issuing birth certificates. But the school certificates or horoscopes were treated as birth certificates. hence try the schools to get the certificates.

First, make enquiries with the Municipal authorities concerned. From them, find out where the records have been transmitted and apply from that authority. Very old records are sent to the Archaeology dept. Find out if there is any system for getting extracts from those records.
