Are immigrant's really helping out this country?
given the ammount of immigrant's entering the uk every year we shall need more and more of these proffesionals from overseas
on a regular basis.My question is there anyone else out there that agrees with what i have said

because it the only place that GIVE them free housing,money clothes,free education,free medical,...have you ever seen a homeless,Asian,Muslim...erm no..yet there millions of white English people,,

Well what do you do that is so invaluable? How can you say you are more useful to this country than any other person, be they black, white or Asian?
Prior to 1965 when the disastrous Immigration Bill was passed, there was very little immigration. In fact, between 1925 and 1965, there was even a period of net emigration out of the United States. During this time, our grass was getting cut, our meat was being packed, our children were being watched and our houses were being cleaned. The idea that somehow we suddenly can't run a country without an unlimited supply of foreigners is absurd.
Those in favor of foreign labor are corporations who are addicted to cheap labor. They are the ones who are benefiting. But their benefit comes at the American tax payer's expense when you consider that the American tax payer is virtually subsidizing the labor costs of the greedy corporations by supplying the illegal foreign workers and their families with welfare, free education, free medical, WICs, housing assistance, etc. -- something the corporations won't do.
Americans won't allow themselves to be exploited like illegals do, but they WILL do the work that illegals do for fair compensation and benefits. If Americans did the work that illegals do at higher pay, would that benefit the consumer? You bet it would in the long run. But many Americans who do not care about America's future are consumers who favor the idea of exploiting illegal workers because it keeps commodity and service prices down in the short term.
no they are no they are making this county in to crapi cant here english in my home townin london its only portugues or polish. if they come here they should at lease speak english. we also have more people on the dole than ever before.
what happens to the english docs that just quilfied from uni they have to go over seas cus they cant get jobs here my friends gf just quilified as a dr and was told by the nhs there are no jobs for you can u tell me why cus all the dr's in this country are from oversea i am not saying we dont need migrants but surly we should give our own people jobs first.

I'm from the USA , we're having the samre problem with the illegals coming from Mexico........These people are sucking the life out of the service networks that help Americans.......No one does a thing about it.....Americans are protesting , want the illegals to be arrested, deported, anything else to get them out but it's not done.......they seem to have more rights than the average American ........It's disgusting !

No you are right. We should exclude all immigrants and protect the 'British' workers, re-establish the closed shop and compulsory unionisation and free collective bargaining just like it was in the heydey of Arthur Scargill of the NUM and red Robbo of the TGWU at Rover in Longbridge.
All these immigrants comming in being prepared to work a full day for a days pay are completely undermining the British workers God given right to be as lazy and as greedy as he wants, to strike at the drop of a hat (cos it beats working, doesn't it?) and interfering with the right to blackmail and bankrupt his company, make life hell for customers and generally show the rest of the world what we are made of.

The 3rd point is closet to the truth, however, its no secret that the UK is the handout capital of the world so of course people will take advantage. I know of people that fly over to this country just for operations who don't even reside here!
In regards to your question, we had a minor "skills" shortage that needed addressing so we would have always needed some kind of help. + the government thought this would be a cheap way of doing things.
no they are'nt helping with all these iraqis and other foreigners,the asians and blacks that have been in the uk since the 60's have contributed alot to the uk.when i come to the uk back home i don't like it anymore,it's changed from over 10yrs back.not trying to be racist!
immigrants only make up less than 8 percent of the population. the other 93 percent are white. So i dont understand why you are all feeling so swarmed.
in any case the only way to work out whether immigrants really make a difference to your country, you would have to analyse their socio-economic output. its pointless asking these mindless questions on here. Do the research. I will be interested to see your findings whatever they are.
p.s. indigenous or not, legal immigrants have just as much right to be here as you. I cant go and extradite British white expats (your funky asses are all over australia, Africa and Europe) so you cant extradite us. Its called karma. Suck it up.

I'm from the USA. We have a similar problem. Our Immigrants mainly come from Mexico. My question is,If the illegals do so much good for our country,why is their country in the bad shape it's in? Eventually,won't they do the same thing here?

For years the government,media,and public school system have been brainwashing people to accept immigrants. Especially the school system by practically forcing you to learn a second language to gain a higher education.
As an indigenous Briton, I feel that those who came to our country in the 150s-1980s have done a lot for us - they have got us away from a "steak and kidney" culture and have introduced a lot of colour and vibrancy to our nation. Despite the scare-mongerers over Muslims and multi-culturalism, most persons of immigrant background (often now second or third generation), are living, or wishing to live, in peace with the indigenous Britons.
Perhaps it is now time to call a halt to most immigration. We need a generation or two for society to settle down and re-inforce its nascent cohesiveness. This includes EEC immigrants. To get into Britain now, you should have to prove that you can be of use to the UK, as a scientist, musician or other professionals. We can train the people already here to be plumbers, builders and electricians. Only exception - Gurkhas.
Racists often grumble about coloured people setting up "ghettoes" such as Southall or Manningham or Nechells, but I hear nary a word about the Irishtowns such as Kilburn, Is it because the Irish are white? It is still a single-culture area. I should know - I'm of Irish stock, of Unionist background.
All I know is we do have educated people that aren't being hired for a job because they don't speak Spanish. They are bi-lingual......Spanish just isn't one of the languages. I remember when they had a huge press for computer skills.....then they turned around and outsourced those jobs for cheaper labor. Any other skilled job that finally got to a living wage.....the businesses started hiring illegals for their cheap labor. I know after 9/11 they were pushing jobs in tourism, restaurant etc....why go to college and put yourself in massive debt when they hire someone else who is either legal or illegal to do it for less? They pushed for nurses and teachers and we rose to the call.....for what? Cut expenses.....must speak Spanish.....cut labor costs.....yet our prices keep going through the roof. I honestly would not know what to tell a person to do anymore to plan for a secure financial future. The second we need people for something.....by the time they graduate from college....it's obsolete. We have people......they just don't want to pay them. I wouldn't mind being paid less if it cost less to live.......but it doesn't.

legal immigrants : that means they are legally allowed to enter britain for number of reasons.
illegall immigrants: in this there is even 2 level ; 1 being immigrants who are looking for better life. 2 those who had to flee there homeland due to some type of trouble e.g. war, fammine etc
now out of these i think the only quta limit should be applyed is to the immigrants looking for a better life for these are usally middle class people of there own country trying to move up in the world, there is nothing wrong with that but it has caused a lot of racial tension etc in britain. but tbh what makes britain great is the very fact that it is seen as a refugee from hardship or evil.
so all i have to say is take consideration when u say immgrants cause they arent some faceless people they each have a story .

Most of the poorly paid jobs in Brighton have been taken up by the Poles and Baltic States. They work very hard and are no trouble what so ever.
The Government wants to keep Immigrants here to keep the wage bill low so the Fat Cats can get richer by the day.
What the Government doesn't understand is that there will be no jobs for our kids that will then lead to resentment against immigrants. I believe that the immigration laws should be tougher to stop this happening.
