How do i write an invitation letter to invite my partner from jamaica over to the UK?

You don't need to write an invitation letter, it doesn't work anymore its out dated, your partner have to get a visa to travel to the UK,the best way the for your partner to come and vist you is to get married,that mean you will have go to jam down and get married,and then applied for a spouse visa.If you try and applied for a visiting which is for six maths the immigration officer in Ja will refuse your application,cause they gonna say that your partner will not want to go back..trust me ma dad iz a immigration officer.If you do get married and you submit an application to the British high commission in Kingston,it can take up to 3 mths for you to hear a decision.you will have to produce the following evidence:
6 mths bank statement
6 mths wage slips,any saving that you have
housing report to show that your property will not be over crowding.
prove that you are in a relationship,any e-mail that you sent to each other,telephone bills,any photos of you both together

We have brought people over to visit us from Hungary to the US. in the past,when it was a communist country and after 1991. We went to a travel agent who specializes in travel from,lets say in your case it would be, Jamaica. They usually have some special forms that are used to invite people over. You have to fill it out then send it to your partner in Jamaica to take with them when they apply for a visa. It states that you will be responsible for them while they are visiting you in the UK. I have previously written invitation letters for business purposes. In the letter I have had to include the details of the people being invited (including full name, passport number, where and when passport issued and when expires), as well as the purpose of the invitation (i.e. business / family visit) and the address that they will be staying at.
