Wow, that's a good question and really puts this into perspective, doesn't it?
My answer, by the way, is
NO !! they should not.
They gave up their right to be free by breaking the laws so let them serve their time.
And the illegals should be made to leave and apply to come into the country legally ~ and if they were honest and honorable people, they would.
I know of a couple of people who wanted to come to this country to marry and they had to fight tooth and nail and learn to be patient before they got their Visa to enter but, they were honorable and did it the way the law said to.

Too simple a question for a complicated answer. I only know that if it starts to look like criminals are getting amnesty I'm going to have to consider asking my bank for a little extra the next time I make a withdrawal.
I have to admit our laws seem based on people's emotions and politics. I don't think it's right that people go to prison for non violent crimes. There should be some sort of rehab or well supervised parole for them or something. As to the ones not from here, that SHOULD make law enforcement's job easier. They should simply deport them. But not amnesty of any kind. All criminals should have to answer for their crimes.

None should-do the crime do the time. I always have had to any way, oh wait it must be because i'm a u.s. citizen. Think i'll sneak across the border & come back a criminal, then i can do whatever i want. Heck i can even get amnesty.
