Hi Jim,
Yes, you do need a visa to come to Ghana. There is a Ghanaian High Commission that can help you with the visa issue. I am unsure as to whether they can give you a visa that is longer than, say, 3 months, but once here, you can visit Ghana Immigration Services and get a resident visa issued for up to 2 years.

You bet your bottom you do you'll also need a visa!
but that's not that hard to get you can just send your passport to their Consulate they will stamp it for you and send it back...but be sure to tell them in writing where you plan to go and for how long! makes then surly if you over stay without telling anyone...
