No, I don't agree. Blacks have had all the opportunities in this country, they've gone to school, they've graduated from college, they are professionals. They are real Americans in the real sense of the word. That's why I don't like the expression "African-Americans". Black American people have nothing to do with Africa and you actually should feel insulted when called that.
As for the Mexicans, they are low class, ignorant people who can hardly speak Spanish (many of them don't) let alone English. If they were educated they wouldn't come to this country in those terrible conditions. I'm not Mexican but I'm Spanish, I'm a professional and I came legally to this country and became a US citizen. But people like me are not that common, believe me. If the black people try to do things right, there's nothing to worry about. I, personally, get along better with educated black people than ignorant Mexicans.

So, you'd rather perpetuate bigotry, so long as it isn't toward Blacks? Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Blacks wouldn't be so marginalized if they started taking responsibility for their lives instead of expecting the government to take care of them because "Whitey is keeping them down." Neither "Whitey" nor Latinos are keeping Blacks from becoming contributing members of society. Blacks are doing that to themselves and have been doing it for many, many years.

I've been to El Paso before. I'd like to point out many of those people who say they are "Spanish" are not, they just like to say they are from Spain. I guess you don't know any Spanish so you can't pick out the Spanish dialect from a Mexican dialect.
I've been to Spain several times. I guess you didn't know the a lot of Spaniards have issues with people coming into their country from Africa?

If American farm subsidies did not allow corn to be sold in Mexico city for less that people could grow it. Then there would not be so much unemployment. Those people come to work. If I had to go to Canada to find a job to feed my family I would cross that border in a heartbeat

But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization.
