I agree, I've always wondered why the Canadian border (which is much larger and close to NYC) isn't really a concern. Any terrorist group would KNOW it's easier to cross the Canadian border!! I think it's racism against all Latin Americans, not just Mexicans who cross the southern border.
They are ILLEGAL...commiting a crime.

Not racist. Canadians borders are monitored better. More canadians come over legally. Mexicans are the one that sneak over more therefore causing a bigger problem. That's why there's more emphasis on Mexico's borders

Mexicans seem to think the U.S. owes them something. If you cross a countries borders illegally for any reason. You are breaking the law and should be deported as soon as caught.

i think if they want to leave mexico and become americans then they need to learn english and stop being mexican. if they hate their country so much that they have to come here they should live and speak like americans. hell with them if they don't. i speak english not spanish because i live in america! if you want to keep speaking spanish then stay in mexico. thats the only problem i have with them.

How can this be racism against Mexicans? The estimated 11 million illegal immigrants are of many different origins, many are from south and central America. The main point is this number is more than the total population of many of our states, it's something like the population of a city like Los Angeles. That is an incredible number of people let alone being illegal entrants to this country! What is racist about objecting? Get real. Our medical costs are going through the roof, why should I have to pay 2/3rds of my pension to pay for medical coverage and the illegals get it for free? I pay property taxes to cover schools, fire protection, police protection etc, what do the illegals do to earn these services?. So the illegals simply want to improve their lifestyle. Good ambition, stay home and fix your own country or get legal and join in with us to promote this countries well being. Don't come to my house and tell me how to run it!
