Does anyone have any idea what happens if.....?

I have a ten year tourist visa that theoretically allows me to enter and exit the U.S. freely for that time period. Last time I was there I exceeded the amount of time given to me by customs or immigration when I entered the U.S. I am thinking about going again and I would like to know if an agent or an airport redneck can rightfully send me back.
I just want to visit a special person.

Regards.

Answer:
I'd send you back, but not before I ordered a full body cavity search.
I hope so.
It would be okay.
Yes they have the right and they will send you back. You do not have the right to stay longer than the time given you on your I-94. If you stay longer, your visa is cancelled and you have to apply again at the consulate. An agent following the law is not a redneck for doing his job. Maybe in your country agents can be easily bribed, but when you come here, expect to follow the law.
It all depends on the mood the little asshole you get might be in or if they even look into you in the first place.

And you're right, immigration officers in the US are disrespectful little nazi's with a chip on their shoulder. They're renowned for it worldwide.
Well if your country is so great why do you fret about US Visa. And why did you overstay???.. Heh, you are one little bitter fella!
by law they can deny you the entrance even is you overstayed only an extra day, it is the law.
But usually if you didn't pass the 6 months of overstay, they won't bother too much.
ultimately it is up to the agent you will face at the entrance.
Your name is on a list somewhere... that's for sure. It just depends on the agent you draw. Will he or she take the time to research you? Maybe yes.. maybe no. You should have followed the laws of this country.
If they decide to run background check and discover that you have a U.S. driver license or any type of ties in the U.S. , apartment in your name, a business card in your wallet that might indicate you worked in U.S. without authorization, or even if THEY determine you are an intending immigrant, yes they can refuse you entry.
