For me, other than screening and stopping the problem so legalization doesn't bring more, the problem is a numbers game.

It doesn't sound like amnesty to me. Do you honestly think there is enough room to put every illegal immigrant in jail? We don't have enough room for Americans who happen to be criminals.
You cannot compare illegal immigration which is a misdemeanor to crimes such as murder. Unless you want murderers and child molestors running around and committing the same crime over and over again!
