Why does Bush Lie about closing Border?

Bush is not a Conservative, he is trying to appease the Mexicans that are here illegally, and the American people by half a*sing the border problem, he betrayed the American people on the border issue, he knows what the American people want and are demanding, but he is gutless just like all the other politicians when it comes to protecting the people from this invasion of Mexicans and other illegals around the world. so why bother coming legally when you can come illegally and get away with it.

Yes......I think it's a way to try and look like he's trying to please the people who want our border secure.....so he can go on ahead with whatever agenda he has going on. This government has lied and become so incompetant that I beleive NOTHING they say till I see it done.
He lies because he has created a faith-based presidency and is able to get all of his little neocon sheep to believe anything he says. He is for amnesty and does not want to close the borders as open borders increase profits for rich, which is all he really cares about.
His budget would only fund half of the fence bill he signed by the time he leaves office, is that what you mean by lying?
