I dont see any evidence that they couldnt just fly here. Thru the regular airports. All our troops and resources are in Iraq.

While dubya and co. have been busy running a 1/2 trillion dollar war in Iraq, we could have been securing this countries borders.
Instead they've been a terrorist recruiters wet dream, and our borders continue to be as leaky as a sieve.
Please don't foget that some are born on American soil (Timothy McVeigh comes to mind) and the strength of the border had no effect on stopping him from the attack in Oklahoma City. The 9/11 terrorists came via Canada over through a small border crossing. While I understand your concern, I don't believe the border is necessarily the best defense from terrorism.
You got a point. But what about the Canadian border??? In my opinion if you going to do something like protect the borders do it all the way!!! My point is Mexico is not the only border in the world. Im pretty sure if they can sneak in drugs from Canada through USA they can sneak in terrorist too.

Most terrorists are smart. Do you agree? They know that in order to inconspicuously (don't know if I spelled that right) cross into American, the Mexican border is not the way. I'm sure you could spot a Terrorist trying to cross over with some Mexicans. Terrorist usually cross through the Canadian American border. Think about it! The Canadian American border is much less patrolled. It would be more common to see a Muslim cross that border instead of the Mexican American border. No?
With the way Bush is running things we are probably more at risk from American citizens carrying out attacks. Al-Qaeda is network of sociopathic religious extremists that hate and blame most Governments. It's not as if this has never happened, Oklahoma City Bombing, the Unabomber. Rigid security on borders and an absence of realistic sociological measures will only make things worse by creating a false illusory sense of security.
most terrorist don't have time to toil across the hot desert and swim across the Rio Grande. Most are very unsuspecting individuals and they most likely come in legally as tourists, for employment, some are born bred here.

Our airports have no serious security measures, cargo is not checked, TSA officials are mostly undereducated boobs on a power trip who spend their time body searching grandma in her wheelchair. Same in our major ports..nobody checks anything.
Quit picking on the Mexicans and get serious about national security. The poor Mexicans coming into our country pose no threat to us as a nation... Those screwballs who come through our airports and disappear in society with nobody following up on them are the threat. Get real.
What it is going to take to get the GOVERNMENT to enforce our laws is continuous and constant viligence from law-abiding U.S. Citizens. We need to flood the governments at the state and local level with millions of letters, faxes, phone calls, and even demonstrations wherever possible. We need to report all companies that hire, harbor and help illegal immigrants and make it extremely uncomfortable for all illegals to stay here. When you have your lawns mowed, demand green cards and identifications from all people -- you should do that for your own safety anyway. You have a right to refuse to hire anyone who hires, harbors, or helps illegal immigrants or who commits illegal acts. Don't rent to illegals. Demand that your schools demand proof of legal residence and legal status for all students. Sue the government for discrimination and unequal treatment under the law -- giving illegal immigrants as pass on law enforcement (Elvira Arellano and Walter Coleman and the Adelberton Methodist Church, the Churches in LA who are harboring fugitives and Sanctuary cities would be a good start) We could sue for specific performance, misfeasance, malfeasance and nonfeasance. We should take this opportunity -- the FORT DIX caper -- to drive home the fact that Fort Dix is only one of the cells that are operating and we aren't sure where they are. We citizens need to become our own soldiers and since the Constitution states that we are the militia, we need to ensure that we are reporting all these people and that we don't let the government give them a pass. We need to become so annoying in our actions that it will be easier for the government to enforce the laws than to deal with the angry citizens. Also, equal treatment under the laws means that we citizens can declare our towns and areas "non-sanctuary cities" or "target enforcement areas". What we need to do is surround all the "sanctuary cities" with "target enforcement areas" and ensure that the illegals and those who hire, harbor or help them can't move freely without substantial risk of deportation and law enforcement. We can do it. We can't depend on the government to do it unless we show the government how serious we are in our demands for law enforcement and equal treatment under the law. A simple movement like putting signs in your yards stating that this is a "target enforcement neighborhood" will cause illegals to avoid the area. That's a start. Boycott all restaurants and stores that hire illegals and all businesses that hire illegals. Get your local government to pass a resolution that there will be no government contracts given to companies that hire, harbor or help illegal immigrants and that the references will be checked. Let them know that illegal acts will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law at a local level and we will get ahead of the game.
Blaming Mexicans is really cushy, what about your own homegrown true blue American terrorists? You do have them, you know. 9/11 was also due to the myth that no terrorist would possibly dream of attacking America on American soil, and it took a bunch of crazies to do it, after they were admitted by your immigration authorities into your country, and had already been there for some time, taking flying lessons, and they had already been pinpointed by the FBI, and ignored. They could also enter through Canada, another border, or maybe through any of your multiple entry points...so why target Mexico? To date, this has never happened.

They can protect the Mexican border all they want. It is Canada that grants visas easier than the US, and I don't hear about many vigilante groups guarding the Canadian border.

i think they have already come threw mexico. my mom is a news freak, she said she saw a report about 2 years ago that there was tarriest in mexico. moms not racist, but she thinks our borders need to be closed down. i remember her saying that the united states was going to regret international flying one day. i was small when i heard her make that remark. and look what happened on 9/11.
