I forgot to send a copy of my greencard w/ my citizenship application...what's gonna happen?

i've been busy getting all my paper work straighten out before i sent off my citizen application. the last thing i did was made copies of all the necessary paperwork, application and check. once i got home i notice the copy of the green card wasn't in the envelope i sent. will my application be deny? will INS send me a letter requesting the copy of my greencard? i'm worried b/c i'm finally able to save enough money to apply for my citizenship. please help??

Answer:
They would probably just request for the copy. But anyway, your A number is in the application anyway, and they can check the DHS database to confirm that you have a greencard so I wouldn't really worry. Either way, they will leyt you know if you need to submit more proof.

Good luck on your Citizenship application!
DENIED! GO BACK TO THE END OF THE LINE!
Try calling them and let them know you will be sending it. They might have it on file.
They will request a copy of your green card by a certain date. If they don't receive a copy by that date, your application will be denied.
Oh, goodness. I would try and give them a call to find out what you can do ASAP. Best of luck. Hopefully you will not be turned down for not completing all that was asked of you.
I would hope that they would let you know that you neglected to send the green card. I would suggest that if you have copies of what you sent, re-copy and send it in again with the green card, letting them know that you are sending this so they will know where to send your green card to catch up with your check and application. I would also send a self address envelope in it saying that if this is not aceptable, please use the self addressed stamped envelope to send the green card back to you.

Hope that will do it for you.
I wouldn't worry. Your application will not be denied.

If there's something that's not right, they will send ALL the papers back -including the check- telling you what is missing or wrong and you can send them again.

It might slow down the process a little, but it's not something that is a real problem.

It would be interesting to know when you sent the documents. If the check was cashed, it means they accepted your papers. If they want a photocopy of your greencard they'll let you know.

Added: I have another suggestion if you are so worried and you don't hear from them. Do you have a relative or friend who is a US citizen and who'd be willing to help you by calling his/her Congressman/woman asking for information about your status?

Congressmen/women are very useful and helpful and the INS has to answer their questions within a certain period of time.
