What would happen to the economy of the USA if all illegal immigrants are brought back to their countries?
I think illegal immigrants have and are putting in a lot to the economy of this country, and not like some citizens that are able to work but prefer not to work and don't put anything toward society and live all their life on welfare, food stamps, section 8… you name it.
I am not pro-illegal immigration. I believe there should be some changes to immigration laws and forgive some of the illegal immigrants already here, kick out the one all the ones that have committed any type of crime, no matter how small, block the border and start over as a free-illegal immigrant country.

If you honestly believe the immigrants are not receiving the govn't benefits that they should...go hang out at your local health dept. or WIC office & see for yourself just how many immigrants show up.

Because the pro-illegal alien lobby has a bottomless pit of money and can hire PR people to spin (and fabricate) anything any way, there are an undue number of myths and lies that the public (and many politicians) has bought into. The FACTS are:
1. It is NOT racist to call these people "illegal aliens" In fact, "illegal aliens" is the only term used in federal laws and regulations to describe criminals (and they ARE criminals) who come into our country illegally. They are not illegal immigrants, not undocumented immigrants, not migrant workers, and not day laborers - they're ILLEGAL ALIENS.
2. Mexico is NOT a poor country. By sending its teeming masses to our country, that status keeps on rising. Mexico has more resources per square mile than the U.S. and plenty of money to take care of its own people. Why should the taxpayers of this country subsidize Mexico's corruption?
3. Illegal aliens are NOT necessarily coming here to work. Lou Dobbs recently reported that 33 percent of our prison population is now comprised of non-citizens. Plus, 36 to 42 percent of illegal aliens are on welfare. So, for a good proportion of these people, the American dream is crime and welfare, not coming here to work.
4. Illegal aliens are NOT doing work Americans won't do. What jobs won't Americans do? In most states, Americans still clean their own houses, do their own landscaping, clean hotel rooms, work in restaurants and fast food places, paint houses, DO CONSTRUCTION WORK, work in airports, etc. - just like we have the past 200 years before "our" government allowed these people to invade our country. There are 18 million Americans who cannot find a job, so illegal aliens who are coming here to work do so at peril to American workers.
5. Illegal aliens absolutely do not contribute more than they cost. Certainly the millions in prison and on welfare aren't contributing a dime to our economy, and the ones who are working often are paid in cash with no deductions for taxes at all. The ones who use fraudulent social security numbers and qualify to pay taxes and social security have so many deductions for dependents that they pay little if any taxes. We have seen them pay less than $100 in taxes and get back $4,000 refunds (thanks to earned income tax credits and multiple dependents).Some bargain, eh?
6. The economy does NOT depend on illegal aliens. Sure, greedy CEOs (making $50 to $150 MILLION a year) and business owners depend on illegal aliens, but due to #3, #4 and #5 above, the only thing illegal aliens are contributing to is the collapse of our economy and making the rich richer.
7. Without illegal aliens, the price of agricultural products and other goods and services will NOT soar. The definitive study on this subject is the University of Iowa's "How Much Is That Tomato?" The study concludes that 'since labor is such a small component of the end-price of agricultural products (which includes price to the growers, transportation costs, processing /storage costs, grocers' profit, etc.), using minimum wage workers instead of illegal aliens would increase prices of agricultural products by approximately 3 percent in the summer and 4 percent in the winter ... hardly the making of $10 heads of lettuce, $25 hamburgers, $1,000 per night Days Inn hotel rooms like the pro-illegal alien lobby claims.
8. Consumers are NOT benefiting from lower labor costs. Again, it's CEOs and business owners who benefit from taxpayer subsidies for their illegal alien workers. The Big Three automakers say they moved so many jobs to Mexico because their labor costs are 80 percent less than in America. Anybody notice the price of new cars spiraling downward under NAFTA?
Well a strong economy needs handworkers and a growing economy needs a consistently growing work force. I think that has a great deal to do with it.
The only taxes they pay is sales, fuel phone and so forth. they are told to claim seven dependants and therefore are tax exempt on the W-2 they fill out in january, or when starting a job. lots are actually paid under the table. A large portion of their income is actually sent back home to help the rest of the family.
Face it these people are taking advantage of the fact that too many of us don't want to do the work that they do. Many of us consider this work as menial. as for crime falisfying your taxes is a crime which makes almost every single one of them a criminal.

WRONG!!!!!! MOST DO not pay taxes in fact most of these so called employers don't bother to purchase workers compensation insurance either on them(which in most states is ('REQUIRED"). Illegal aliens that work for wages "under the table" do not pay taxes, therefore they are not paying into social security, federal income taxes, they are not paying state taxes, or city taxes, they are not paying into the school system, so their children are benefiting frrom those of us that do, highways, or any other "taxes". They frequently do not have insurance. My wife was sideswiped by an illegal alien driving a dump truck with fake insurance. We had to pay the deductible and use our uninsured motorists coverage. At least she wasn't hurt!!!! They do not have health insurance...who pays for their medical care when the illegal aliens, his wife, or children show up at the hospital?? Yes!!!! This is a myth. Do not confuse the USA or its citizens with big business. Illegals do not work for less, they commit crimes, over populate, sell their own women for a few pesos a night and are too stupid to do something about their own country. They have no pride, can't stand alone and smell bad. It cost the US taxpayers 76 Billion dollars in 2005, in 2006 the cost is estimated at 22% higher. This is a huge problem. If you are an American, act like one, if you are an illegal then show some sand and go back to Mexico and straighten your own country out, don't come begging here like a whipped dog.

Financially, there would be a bit of inflation pressure on the economy, but those services which illegals use/abuse, such as medical care, food, public schools, and housing, there would be minor deflation.

The main thing that would happen is that the economy would sky rocket. Wages that are artificially keep low by ILLEGALS would rise. Single parents could actually afford to spend those extra dollars and the stores and shops could afford to pay their LEGAL employees more, and they would spend more, and so on, and so on,...
This economy would be BOOMING again in less than six months.

The Illegals are not paying taxes, nor do they have to if and when they become a citizen. They are exempt for a period of time, and what do you mean they don't get benefits? They are using our healthcare system, thats a benefit, I agree there are plenty of citizens that are a drain on society, but what about all these illegals that are here, that have children in our country, there child are entitled to welfare, so in turn the illegal parents get it. They get a lot more than you speak of. They are very well off in this country and they far from work for low wages. A lot do, but alot make more than you and i combined. I lived with it for about 3 years. They would come into my coffee shop 4-5 times a day trying to buy a $3 coffee and paying with a $100 bill, so they could get change. Why? Because they couldn't go to a bank, and open an account because they were illegal. I think they should all be sent home, and if they want to come, they can not be convicted of any crimes, and then we start letting the honest good ones in.
If they were all deported? HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!!!!!!! Our economy would improve. CA wouldn't go bankrupt. We wouldn't have to pay BILLIONS of dollars to take care of the criminals. Congress could get back to the business of improving America instead of fighting over how to give amnesty to 20 million illegal alien criminals. Is everyone forgetting how long we have been enjoying cheap labor in this country. To me, this issue is kinda like getting fat. You're enjoying the steaks, twinkies and all that other good stuff that you put in your body. before you know, your weight has skyrocketed 100 lbs. It happens at such a slow rate and you were just "ok" with it for so long, that it wasnt until now that you realize you are a disgusting fat ***. On top of all this your girlfriend is now screaming at you to lose the weight. NOW! or no sex until you fix the problem. We are now at the point of panic where we start trying drastic measures like, the hollywood maricle diets, and the hydroxycuts, and the xenadrines and all the other 100 dollar bottles of non fda approved herbal dietary supplements. 6 weeks have now passed and you are broke. You have also come to the realization that no matter what it is going to take slow change, just as it started to reverse the effects of what you have done. please excuse the spelling and punctuaion errors, as it is now 1 am. What?!!? What taxes are they paying, besides sales tax? I know that as a citizen, I am paying about 33% of my income to the IRS. That is a lot of money that illegal immigrants are not having to pay. In all honesty, my only REAL beef with illegal immigrants, is that they don't contribute tax money. People talk about how the economy would fail if all immigrants left, but that is simply not true. So much money would be saved by having *less* social-program-leeches.

I don't know if you've noticed but the face of the U.S economy has been changing. The US is becomming the leader in other sectors now, not just tech. If they are sent back to their countries there would be some issues....but if the U.S Gov works out a system where welfare people fill in the gaps and work a percentage of their year to agriculture then i don't think it would be a big of an issue. Might even help the welfare issue.
i do not think this is a good idea and our government knows that. mos people that are citizen are not going to do the work of the illegal people in this country. it is just pure business for our country and that does not see it like that and think they are just blind and do not want to accept the truth. if the Americans do not want to have so many illegal immigrants especially from mexico why , all the american companies that are established in Mexico as they called them "las maquiladoras" , do not pay more money to this people . these american companies are just making more profit and it is just blind politics
