Are we not focusing on the real problem?
Answer:
I agree..Seems like the media has grabbed on to this issue and is creating MASS hysteria..There was a time in this country, where people thought Blacks were taking over. Its just propaganda to create fear.
Those who were arrested were from Trinidad and Guyana. Neither are major Muslim strongholds. And sexy "Cuban" to go after them would mean going after all people from the Caribbean. Oh yeah, Cuba is in the Caribbean, isn't it?
Both issues are serious problems, and to ignore one in the hopes of fixing the other is simply not plausible.
I think the real problem is the illegal aliens,we face a much bigger threat from them.
i can't understand why new york is always the one that everyone wants to bomb.they need to be on this more with the terrorist's, and send these muslim's back to there country. they let all these foreign people in and they wonder why there are problems.
Of course we need to focus on terrorists. However illegal immigration has cost our people much more than terrorism has by ruining our schools and closing hospitals and draining services we need for our own.
Illegals are a Large part of the Problem, how is that hard to understand, every time there is a Plot, we hear about Imam,
so and so, how about taking care of Imams the way Clinton,
did to the Branch Dravidian's.
alot of these terrorist are coming across the borders disguising themselves as just another illegal. we are not going after the wrong group, we should be going after all these criminals! getting rid of illegals will not make the economy decline, it will enrich it if anything!! their are enough Americans that need and want these jobs, saying Americans won't do them is just another ploy by illegals as well as playing the race card for them to justify being criminals!!
All yesterday did was show us that we do need border control, or better yet control of our borders and ports. You can not tell if a person is good or bad just by looking at them, a good back round check is a must, from what you just said, all illegal aliens are good people, well no all are not. Yes I always have and alway will be for deportation, the U. S. A. was here before illegal aliens, and it will still be here after they are gone.
Our economy may decline but as long as the illegal mexicans are gone i really dont care.
I have to say that your grammar is a little disturbing. We can't keep all Muslims out of this country, we have native Muslims and I can't blame the entire Islam faith for their radicals. Luckily, we have a fairly strong ability to stop most of the terrorists before they strike. But for the big picture, illegals are illegals with no respect for our laws no matter what their personal faith, religion, creed or color. When all illegals are taken care of, we'll have an even stronger ability to keep track of who is and is not in our country. We have a high legal immigration as it is, and if we begin to screen possible new citizens and choose educated and skilled people to immigrate, our country can be infused with diversity but with those people striving for the same goals. We need to be Americans, not Euro Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, etc. Just Americans all wanting a peaceful, prosperous, law-abiding country.
Wow...seems to be a lot of hatred in you...
An illegal alien is an illegal alien. Any undocumented person within the boarders of the United States pose a potential threat.
What you are basing your whole arguement on is a few isolated incidents that were planned by Muslims. Unless you believe in the whole theory that GW Bush was behind 9/11, you know that 9/11 was pulled off by a small group of Muslims. Since then, there was a shoe bomber, a person arrested trying to get explosives from Canada over in Washington state, the JFK "plot" and a few other incidents since 9/11.
Despite this, I think Muslims as a whole are not a threat to America. Why? There are over 1 billion of them in the world. If the Muslim religion as a whole wanted to take out the US, they would have done it already. Personally, I think the Muslim attacks of today are nothing more than the people posing as Christians who were killing abortion doctors a decade ago in the name of God. Many of these attacks I think are copycats acting on their own or as part of a small, underfunded group.
Our economy has declined since 9/11. The decline was due to a market correction that was going to come sooner or later (times were great before the great depression, just like they were in the late 1990's). The Muslims are not responsible. If they truely are responsible, then the US economy is in terrible shape to be rocked by a single event.
Screaming Muslim is nothing more than the modern day Salem Witch Trials. The problems with our economy go well beyond 9/11. They way the federal government is spending money, I wouldn't doubt if the US government falls apart before the end of this century (sorry to say). Record deficits, cheap goods from Asia, jobs moving out of the country, and skyrocketing costs for essential goods like health care are what's killing todays consumers. Over time, things are only going to get worse. High petroleum prices are only going to get worse (afterall, the people who control crude oil prices, the people with the real money on the futures exchanges, the refineries, the oil companies, don't have a lot of interest in seeing it go down...profits are the name of the game). Fresh water supplies are wasted and will become scarce, causing famine and wars.
Global warming might actually be real. Heat will destroy crops and kill people who aren't used to the heat in cold areas. Ice caps will melt and destroy coastal cities. If the natural cycle repeats itself, another ice age will follow.
Yup, lets kick out all the Muslims...that'll fix everything. Somehow, I think you need to look at the bigger picture.
The Middle East is the real threat and if that is not recognized there may not be any school systems or government hand outs for people to complain about, and I will bet you a donut they won't cross over from Mexico.
