I don't care if they are from Mexico or any other country - illegal entry into this country is WRONG and needs to be stopped.
Legal immigration makes sure that those that come into the country are free from disease, able to support themselves, not be a burden to society, able to be a productive member of society within our borders.
What has been allowed till recently (and I do see a move to make positive changes in enforcement of the immigration laws) is an insult to every legal immigrant and citizen of the United States. Better still isn't good enough. Full enforcement of the law is what is needed.
Better yet - lets put the same immigration laws in that Mexico has and enforce them!
Legal immigration is good, illegal immigration is bad. But our own citizens will do any required work for a decent wage.

Last time I checked the country operated just fine 40-50 years ago without illegals. We landed on the moon for cripe's sake! The bottom line is that the Hispanic illegals are incapable of doing anything else other than the most menial, brain-free jobs. All they would be is de facto slave labor. The white collar service industry is the true brain trust of our country, and will determine the progress in our future.

You do need illegal immigrants, the U.S. does benefit by the billions due to them. And meaningless jobs?? Please. There are MANY professional Mexicans. And if you are on the illegal-immigration subject, well I extremely doubt they came here to listen to what you have to say about them. At least they have dignity and don't NEED other people to work for them. Not everybody wants to come to the U.S. Maybe because it's supposed to give justice and freedom (we'll see if the amnesty comes, hopefully and most likely it will) and the government is good, but other than that it really has nothing. Yes, there will be someone else who will want to take that dishwashing job, and that person will be here legally. Yes, the hospitals will have some semblance of control in their ERs. As far as I can tell the only ones who are pro-illegal are the illegals themselves. I think it is time to shut them up and ship them out.
My husband and I have a small farm and we won't hire illegals no matter how cheap you can get them. We would rather pay a fair wage to someone local who needs the job. There are plenty of young people who don't have job skills that are willing to move irrigation pipe or run a swather and bailer for $7/hour (same as any fast food restaurant). It works for everyone involved, we get our fields irrigated and the kid makes some money to put away for college and no one has to go broke.
