It's a turd. Ever polish a turd? History is an important guide here and the same person is behind this bill who wrote the very first immigration reform bill in 1965. It granted legal status to millions, made some psecial programs, and prvisions with the promise that this would end it once and for all, and they would enforce the borders if the rest of us would just sign off on these humanistic and reasonable requests.
We went along and believed a murdering liar who has made a career of out and out hypocrisy. Anyways getting back to history, he wrote the Immigration Reform Act of 1965 as it was dubbed then, and it has tilted our entire immigration policy towards unskilled and very uneducated latin amercians ever since. They are disproportinately the new populace when just 30 years ago it was a broad and varied mix and a wonderful thing for America. Amexico is what we will be called withing 20 years. Mark my words.
Here is my beef. They cannot enforce the weak laws we have now becuase of hte numbers of people involved or so they say. I say rubbish. FedEx manages something on the order of 15 million packages per day and can with reasonable accuracy tell you at any time where any package in the entire system is, and when it can be expected. D some packages get lost and never agin found? Yes, but precious few, and it gets less and less all the time. If we put them on the case or anyone else with this level of efficiency it would flat out get done. But...I digress.
Are we to believe that we should not expect the same level of accuracy from the government when it comes to securing our borders? Making sure those who are here are her legallay and with good intentions? if they cannot enforce the 600000 pending dpeortations now how are we to believe they are EVER going to corral this? We are being lied to by idealistic ideologues without an ounce of sense in them. My god, this is such a sham. We are to believe the govt is going to somehow in the next 24 months efficently and effectively put new programs in place to enforce this on 14-20 millon new people? And stiff and harsh fines will be levied? Really? On whom? You and m,e./ This costs each and every one of the US taxpayers 20K per year. This is going to help global warming?Puhleeeze! They couldnt find their own behind in a well lit room with a well drawn diagram and hep from friends, and we are to expect they will fund and build the much reduced fence, put in all this hi tech that govt can NEVER get to work, and I know something about this as I have built milspec machines for use in the field by NATO. Duncan Hunters Law is ON THE BOOKS and requires the govt to build by law in 1`8 months of enactment 870 miles of fence. It didnt happen. But now they realllllllllllly mean it?
Here is the promise, they will reallly reallly really mean it this time. HAH! My aching freaking buthole. It's sore from the reaming they give me every year with the tax bill my wife and I shell out, and we cant even get our kids a decent education without having to payt 15 k per kid to do it. Identity theft is rampant becuase the san hose police will nbot prosecute any illegal who does it. Thjey do not care about us citizens one freaking iota and I am putting my house up for sale and leaving in utter disgust. Rob Davis is a coward and traitor. If I seem pissed off, you bet I am. I have obeyed the letter of the law and made my kids do so also to the point of real suffering at times for us all. And my reward by my govt is to reward 12-15 million stupid illegals who were clever enough to NOT go through the proper process? Worse, they intend to forgice them YEARS of unpaid back taxes and make them pay a miniscule fine of pittance. Bugger my govt. I may never vote again. I sure as hell will never ever donate 1 red cent to either party, ever again. Let them get it from their new votes.

It's modern slavery: we're sending the message that the only thing immigrants are good for is cheap labor. It is amnesty for illegal aliens and is unfair to and makes it harder for people who want to legitimately immigrate to this country.
It sucks.
In short I think the main point and first point needs to be solving the problem that is ruining our children's schools, draining our services and closing our hospitals. This bill, for every enforcement point it has, has an exception or caveat you can drive a truck through. Without solving the problem this is just a huge increase in legal immigration on top of illegal immigration, and illegal immigration will grow exponentially due to the amnesty. Call it what you like. Due to the legalization of people who came illegally on terms billions in the world would jump at were it offered to them.
It is also an insult to our intelligence. Billed as a 'border security increase' the bill cuts in half the length of the fence enacted into law before the elections and cuts the number of border patrol officers required by current law. Then there is a 'statute of limitations' on border crossing, etc etc. This is not a matter of one point or five. The bill was warped with great thought and deliberation and needs to be scrapped.
Our schools are failing our children, and their children are NOT more important than our own. WE are the ones who need protection.
Its worse than amnesty, It's saying American citizenship is for sale like everything else in DC. The treasonous congressmen should be fed to alligators.
What I don't like about this entire mess is this:
They came to this country illegally. They hide in the shadows for years and since they did that we will reward them with a ZVisa and a chance to become permanent residents?
If we as Americans have to follow ALL the laws. Every person coming into this country should have to follow ALL the rules as well.
I can't use language like that here.
I hope all citizens of this country make sure they are registered to vote in the next election for President, Senate and the House, Governors, Mayors, you name it.
Watch very closely what they tell you. Look at their record very very closely and please vote. The majority need to be replaced with new sensible people who care about the citizens of this country first and foremost.
If the laws were not enforced before, how can they now? There's not enough employees to handle this mess.
