I'm an international student how can I become a residenT?

I moved to U.S. 2 years ago to finish college as an international student with a f-1 student visa, i will be graduating next term.
I live with my fiance (we've been together for 4 years) who's a u.s. citizen, we are planning on getting married in two years. My question is , how can i become a U.S. resident? , i really want to start working so i can get some experience in my field, and so my father can stop supporting, because he pay's all my expenses. I'm planning on doing my masters next year but first i want to get a job, get a new car and start my life.
How can i apply for U.S. recidency!!!??? i have no family here, just my fiancee but i dont want to get the K-1 visa which is the fiancee visa because u're suppouse to get married within 4 months and we aren't going to.

I don't know what to do,I will really apreciate your help!!! thank you :)

Answer:
Get married now and have official ceremony later. Just go ahead and get your paperwork done. My gf is in the same situation. She graduates in a year and I plan on asking her to marry me within the year, get married, have ceremony later.

You could also get an HB1 Visa but that's tougher considering the high demand for them.
two ways:
1. marry your US citizen fiance and get him/her to file out the application for PR

2. get a job, apply for I-140, then I-485.

It is much faster thru the marriage route.
