The Patriot Act is very dangerous to personal liberties. It's equivalent to Canada's War Measures Act. In 1970 the Feds picked up over 400 people in Quebec and incarcerated them. They could keep them as long as they wanted (national security).
Eventually, all were released and no charges laid.
Civil liberties? We don't have any as long as legislation like this is in existence.
you are right i am so scared of this because my baby's father is an illegal alien but my son and i were born here and are legal...i am scared he will be with his family and they will all be deported...how would i get my son back once he is in mexico? just really scary to me

I always do and always have and it has not been a hardship for me. Times are different nowadays since 9/11. If I lose a little bit of freedom in doing away with the terrorists, so be it.
