Can i have a job if i am a foreign english student in canada???

hi!! i wanna move to canada but i don`t know if it is legal to get a job while you are a student (nothing fancy, just something that allows me to...eat!!). can anyone help me??

for the exact answer to this question i would try searching the internet for websites about foreign students in canada. i am currently in the UK as a student but i'm from the US and i am allowed to work with my student visa except there is a restriction on how many hours i can work a week. i'm assuming that canada would have a similar set up as far as working on a student visa goes. there should be a website for the canadian embassy that would give you that info too. before i came here i looked up the british council in the US and the website gave me all the info i needed about coming over here. good luck!
