Can anyone explain what 'naturalization' is?
Answer:
It is a process of becoming a citizen once you have been a permanent resident for awhile. You swear to give up oaths to 'foreign princes' and take the country you are becoming a citizen of as your new country. At least that is what you do in the US.
Naturalization is the process of becomming a citizen in the country you have immigrated to.
It is the act of becoming a legal citizen. There are natural born citizens, naturalized citizens, legal immigrants and illegal immigrants. There are NO undocumented workers.

It is a citizenship process which in most countries goes by how long you have lived and worked there legally.
it is the process of "earning" citizenship in a country you have migrated to legally & by embracing the language, laws of the land, accepting the obligations as well as the rights of natural born citizens are considered naturalized.
People who do that, have the right to call themselves citizens,
The others who immigrate & manage to pass the test with no intention of making the commitment are called opportunists.
