Mexico.
Mexico can kick communist Cuban a's's'es faster than when Fidel kicked exiles anti-Castro a's's'es.
But Mexican drug cartels and mafias control Cuba.
Cuba is geographically well located to be used as base or jump board for illegal estupefaccientes.

well look at the current situation and our residents to the south maintain there own country. the island has a dictator that is about to die and could provide resources where as the southern's havent provided anything just taken. It is my though that it would be more cost effective to support cuba since it has more resourse and less famine. having been to both pre 88 and post 03 I think i can say that in my opinion. cuba's oil hold which is leased to china is worth billions where as mexico already sold there, there nothing worth keep there cancun and thats been on the fall for the past 5 years, they just need to be able to support themselves for a year without taxing our systems then complaining about it then i might change my mind. at least a cuban has to swim 90 miles.

Why? Well, the US is certainly not going to help a communist nation gain more land, and Mexico has no military that could even THINK of successfully attacking Cuba - or any other nation, for that matter. Their military is there for the sole purpose of security of the president and the drug dealers in Mexico.
The US's interest would be making sure that Mexico didn't fall into the hands of the Cubans, and also they would make the attempt to oust the Mexican government, so they could get some sort of ethical government in control of Mexico.
But that is just a guess. Who knows? I am not mental giant when it comes to military moves. But again, neither is our President, and he has started 2 wars. . .
Why would Mexico go against Cuba in the first place? There is absolutely no reason to begin with.
We were overrun with Cubans way back in the sixties, and the last thing we want is for them to be back. Chavez is importing them by the dozen to boost their healthcare and education systems.
I could not care less which side America took in this hypothetical question, but it would have to be Mexico, at least as long as Mexico were useful to American purposes. But that is not going to happen.

Mexico does not have the cajones to go military against anyone,remember their last victory...against the French...Big deal.
I would just let them fight for awhile and then go in and take anything of value that they had then bomb both of them into a parking lot.
