They would side with Mexico. Their hearts and minds are with Mexico. They sneak into the US to get work then send the money all back to their families in Mexico. If war broke out they'd do all the could to disrupt life in the US, including any acts of sabotage they could manage.
This is why the so-called Immigration Reform Act is just so much bunk. These people have no interest in becomng citizens and are not about to spend a year's pay to continue doing legally what they are doing now illegally, and then have to pay income taxes to boot.

A significant minority of illegals would probably become active terrorists. Who knows? I know that if Mexico was richer and better than the US, and I could improve my life 100 fold by going there I would still respect Mexican laws, and not be a friggin law breaking scum. So far all the answers have been provided by Americans. Have any of you bothered to ask a Mexican Illegal at all? And why the paranoia against Mexico, what about the rest of the Latin American illegals also living in the USA? There are more countries south of Mexico. How will they take it?
