They are not doing enough. If they would just enforce the laws that are now on the books, that would help. Border patrols need to be stepped up.

Our immigration laws are so hypocritical and out of date that we're in desperate need of fixing that. I propose we use the National Gaurd (that's in Iraq...) to actually do what they were trained to do. PROTECT THE STREETS OF AMERICA.

they're not doing enough. they do pick up illegals but not fast enough.
If they would start enforcing the laws that they already HAVE on the books then it would help. They do NOT need to give amnesty to any more illegal aliens, because the illegals that are in the country now don't want to be legal because they don't want to pay taxes...they want a free ride.
If the Government thinks that it is expensive to send all those people back, then they are out of reality if they think it is going to be cheaper to let them stay here...all the while bleeding the country and munching off us and getting free health care, housing, food and education.
Pros: If they controlled the flow then that would mean the people who are trying to come to the US will be HEALTHY individuals who are trying to promote the betterment of the US, and NOT Mexico. They could find out if the person is really wanting to integrate into our country and having pride in the US and not having allegiance to another country like it is now with illegal aliens.
Cons: There are no cons if the Government actually starts enforcing the laws that are already on the books and starts financing for making sure that those laws are enforced.
