Because we're the ones who go. We're law abiding American citizens and we protect our country against all enemies foreign or domestic.
When you see someone in full uniform, head gear, etc., how can you really tell their race? That's how they're usually shown in the media.
Where have you been the past 10 years or so? Does Iraq and Afghanistan ring a bell? How about Israel or Palestine? These countries are majority muslim. You should study up on current history a little more, it just might surprise you.

You are correct in the fact the majority of soldiers for the US are black or white,but there are also hispanics,indian and chinese fighting for the freedoms,this war in Iraq is not for our freedoms,it is a war of nonsence.If Bush was truly concerned about our freedoms he would bring our kids home and watch our own borders,there are terrorist crossing over every day.If you knew how many drug smugglers alone crossed the border you would be uphauled,dont forget our border patrol agents Ramos and Campeon were trying to protect our borders,I am not sure but I think they are hispanic.

If your interested, here are some FACTS on number of hispanic soldiers in the military by state. For example 35% of recruits from New Mexico are hispanic.
The Military is just a slice of American people. In the private sector people choose their jobs, it's the same in the Military. For a good portion of people the Military is just a stepping stone to a Civilian job or College. I'm guessing the only military people you see is on the news. The news for some crazy reason only shows Combat arms and Combat service support who are predominated white and black but not all, but we do have other MOS's in the military that do admin (human resources), cooks, mechanics and etc but why would you want to see or heard about them. Please don't judge others people after all we are all Americans and we all want the same things.
What you should be upset about is why is it only the poor kids fighting for our country. Where are the rich kids at? Why do we pay our congress persons so much with full medical and with a retirement plans, but us commoners are out of luck? And lastly why are you still hung up on race? please join the 22 century and get involved with our government.
