Did you e-mail your state senators your opinion on the immigration reform bill ?
If you did not tell them how you feel - why not ?
Answer:
Absolutely. I told them a rose by any other name is still a rose. Just because one person says the reform bill isn't an amnesty bill doesn't mean that's true. In fact, it amounts to a bribe. Pay our government $5000 and you can avoid further penalty for the laws you have broken. That is buying amnesty. By the way, make sure you ask your congressmen or women who is going to pay for the services these "newly acknowledged citizens" would qualify for. We can't afford the services now, it can only get worse if this bill passes. Can you say break the bank? Social security and medicare will go bankrupt, in spite of new taxes paid by the suddenly legal. If you haven't contacted your senators or representatives, you need to do so.
Emailed, Faxed, and Called.
Basically told the staff member that answered the phone that if my Senator/Representative voted for this legislation I would do everything in my power to vote them out to the sidewalk when they come up for re-election.
I did, and I also did this...
Go to grassfire (dot) org/42/petition.asp and follow a link at the top left corner for petitions. Join the "Secure Our Borders" petition. Voice your opinion against rewarding illegals for breaking the law. Send everyone you know to this petition. I would put the exact link to the site here, but yahoo is blocking that.
The idea of rewarding illegals who broke the law with a path to citizenship is ridiculous. Our government is a worthless disgrace.
Yes I sent emails to my senators, its so easy with this link http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_in... and they do read what you have to say and send a reply.I live in utah and senator Hatch is against illegal immigration and the new bill.
Yes, and I even emailed the Senators from the other states too.
