Is there any real argument to allow illegal immigration?

Answer:
Nope!

No, it's illegal.
No, there's not.
Well, how about this - If we do away with the cheap labor illegal immigration provides, we'll have to either do away with free trade or do away with minimum wage laws. Without cheap labor, many of our markets (namely agriculture) would be in deep trouble. So, make a choice - an illegal-free country, no more free trade or no more minimum wage?
Ask the people who employ them.
Plenty of arguments..I've yet to hear 1 that makes any sense.
Well I guess if you know someone who is willing to do all the dirty, manual labor jobs that they do for the money we pay them, you know..the ones us lazy Americans are too good to do, then I guess we don't need them, but until then , I'd say they're pretty needed
Here's a question for you: Has the possibility that not all answers come easily and wrapped up in neat little packages ever occured to you? I mean, I know after almost 8 years of idiocy like "terrorists hate freedom" and "anyone who disagrees with me supports the terrorists" have dumbed the country down a bit, but c'mon. Has the right-wing spin machine really turned everyone into a "black-and-white" "with-us-or-against-us" people? How pathetic.

Do you know how much of our country's resources it will take to deport all of our illegal aliens? Do you have any idea? It would be the biggest undertaking we've ever embarked on in this country's history, costing billions upon billions of dollars, and requiring more people then we have at our desposal right now. Hands down. We'd have to put all other projects on hold to accomplish this, and it still probably wouldn't work. And for what? The more determined deportees would just turn around and come back anyway. It happens all the time today. Then we'll have to expend more resources to deport them again and ROUND AND ROUND WE GO.

The fact is, people will never stop trying to get into the US as long as their own countries offer little to no opportunities and they've got mouths to feed. There are jobs here for the taking, and there are none where they are from. It's really a no brainer. What do you honestly think you would do in their position? Oh yeah: You'd fill out the application and wait 10 years while your kids starve. Ha ha ha! Right.

It doesn't matter what I think is right or wrong. It doesn't matter whether or not you like them here or not. Do I have a pro-illegal immigration arguement? Am I against deporting them? DOESN'T MATTER ONE IOTA BECAUSE IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN. It's time to face the facts. They won't stop coming. They AREN'T stopping now. If we're going to pass any legislation, it's going to have to be realistic, and that does not include any of the BS put forth by xenophobic ideologues.
actually, if you "allow" it ... is no longer illegal.
you know what i mean? ;)
Ofcourse there is, only between people other than gov. officials. There's no argument there. They all agree on allowing these hard working people here.
go to grassfire (dot) org and follow a link at the top left corner for petitions. Join the "Secure Our Borders" petition. Voice your opinion against rewarding illegals for breaking the law. Send everyone you know to this petition. I would just put the exact link to the site here, but yahoo is blocking that.
no - they are criminals for breaking our laws and shouldn't be here. They cost us BILLIONS of dollars each year. If this piece of crap legislation passes the US will go bankrupt!
No. Never was and never will be.
Only white Americans get pissed off about it and that makes me (brown skin Mexican-American) very happy. As far as the argument I will let you Morons handle that part.
no deport
Im from Texas and I think that if them illegals immigrants want to come to the U.S. they need to do it the legal way.
Sure. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...
Let's break down the terminology.

1st word

Illegal.
Hmmmm...against the law.

No need to address the second word is there?
No, but your going to get all kinds of BS reasons, but good reasons, no. And just when you thought you heard them all, they will come out with a new one.
There is no benefit. And in response to the answer that talked about cheap labor...There is no such thing! Illegals might work for minimum wage, but then they get food stamps, free health care, welfare checks, and they don't have to pay taxes. Now, who do you think pays for all of that? That's right... the same people that only shell out minimum wage pay for it in their ever increasing taxes. We, the same people that want cheap labor are only being duped because we end up paying for EVERYTHING for them in the long run. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CHEAP LABOR!!!
No there isn't because the majority of people on both sides are ignorant and only see things as one sided. I understand why people get so angry with the numbers of illegals, because they feel that they don't pay taxes, and they take jobs, and they get social services. But if people actually took a step back and saw the whole picture they would understand that it is not their intentions to do these things!! Try to understand that the citizenship process can take years to be complete and if you have children and your family is starving because your government can't take care of them, what would you do?? So see there really isn't a real argument to this hard debate. If you ask me I think the real issue is with the way the government is handling real issues like health care, the economy, and the enivroment!!!
Are you kidding? The best argument against it is what is happening to our country as a result of our country's failure to rigorously enforce U.S. immigration laws for the past thirty years or so.

Not only do illegals take jobs from Americans, they also contribute significantly to the overpopulation problem.

A recent report by Mexican authorities serves to emphasize the extent of the problem. Mexican officials recently reported that more Mexicans (over 500,000) are leaving Mexico each year than are being born there!

And guess where they are headed...
There are plenty of arguments for illegal immigration, just like their are plenty of arguments against illegal immigration. Depending on what side of the fence you fall on will pretty much decide if you think the argument is valid or not. There are some that will take a step back and actually look at what the people from the "other" side are saying and take it in and think about it for a while, and they will answer the argument with something other than name calling etc. etc.
Your question didn't ask for anyone to post any "real" arguments, so I will not add my 2 cents here since it doesn't address the question.
No there is not. We are being opressed by the burden of supporting the illegals who are sending their cash back to their own countries. Why should we even be considered to be in agreement with this? Our backs are not strong enough to support the entire world.
