every application i have filled out has an "honesty statement.........meaning if you lie to them about anything then you can be immediatly terminated..........oh_hell

agreed but that is not fully true a business owner would have to go threw many different agency's to find out the person is illegal to begin with , then have to call immigration to have the person removed , its a very long and strenuous process

not true. the company i work at found out 2 men from Guatemala was illegal. they was working under false info. all they did was fire them. one went to another county to work for the same company and the other went to work in construction. i asked the company why they didn't call immigrations, i was told to mind my own business if i wanted to keep my job. i guess they didn't want to pay that big fine.
Swift, the meat processing company that was involved in the raid a few months back in which about 1300 illegals were caught, used to submit info to the governmetn about suspected illegals applying with them for work.
About 3 years ago they submitted a list and because all the names were hispanic they were sued for discrimination ( by the USA government! ).
So it isnt a surprise that they quit reporting is it.
It definitely makes sense to me. I don't understand why they'd even worry about 'discrimination' when, for starters, they found out they're ILLEGAL, but also - - - what is there to fear about someone who has no right in this country except to leave?
I think it's just another way for politicians to make more profit without having to upset the families of illegal aliens and/or their supporters. The politicians are like, "Well, we know you're an illegal alien, but hey - we'll just fine you a bit, we'll let you stay 'cause in the long run you'll save us and/or make us money because you will settle for a lousy salary!"

They can be fired, but most construction co.s just move them to another job,that way it dosen"t lose them any money.Contractors are like politicians, their greed over rides the law every time
