In fiscal year 1995, about $1.1 billion in AFDC and Food Stamp benefits
were provided to households with an illegal alien parent for the use of his
or her citizen child. This amount accounted for about 3 percent of AFDC
and 2 percent of Food Stamp benefit costs. A vast majority of the
households receiving these benefits resided in a few states—85 percent of
the AFDC households were in California, New York, Texas, and Arizona; 81
percent of Food Stamp households were in California, Texas, and Arizona.
California households alone accounted for $720 million of the combined
AFDC and Food Stamp benefit costs, with such households representing
about 10 percent of the state’s AFDC and Food Stamp caseloads.
That study was based on about 6 million illegals, imagine how much it is today.
Bottom line: Doesn't matter how much it will cost, but ultimateIy,I think that it would be money well-spent.
It would be money well spent. Just think of how educational and healthcare costs would go down, and the money saved by Congress not having to sit for weeks and weeks drafting and redrafting bills that will never work anyway.
Here's a real number... in January, it cost me $70 per child to get the Hep A vaccine, as it has been re-introduced in our area. I asked the pediatrician why it was here & spreading in the U.S., and she said that its from people coming into the country without the proper medical screenings. That's $140 bucks out of my personal pocket - AFTER insurance. That may not be much to some people, but its a good chunk of change to me. Now, multiply that by the number of kids in the country.
Not half as much as it will cost to keep them here!

it will probably be less than supporting them for the rest of their lives while they use up the welfare, social security, healthcare, etc if they get amnesty.
not as much as it costs us in taxes to send them to school, pay there hospital bills, pay there welfare bills, pay there utility bills etc. etc. etc.
If we would just give the airlines and bus companies tax credits for aiding in the deportation of them.that would help.
Also, if they are illegal...deport on the spot. Do they allow CITIZENS time to get their affairs in order before they arrest them?
I think sending them back would be less money in the long run. Think of all the welfare, and free health care, and free every thing they get... The catch is, it's NOT free, the american people are footing the bill.
It's not a hard question to ask when you look at all those thing... even down to the america gas they are using in their un registered vehicles that carry no auto insurance on them in case they hit an american with insurance.

Really a mute point, no matter how much the cost, it'll be worth it to get rid of them. No welfare, no free schools, no free medical, ( I am born and raised here in the US, served in WW2, and cannot get the free crap given to these illegals.)
By worrying about how much the cost, if that's a priority with you, then you probably are in favor of turning all of the prisoners loose we hold in our prisons because of the cost to keep them.
If we catch an illegal the second time after being deported, 20 years at hard free labor should make them think twice.
Now, as far as the manpower to round them up and deport them, that can be taken care of by bringing our troops home, and instead of running around the world killing innocent civilians, let them do the deed.
You know, these weak arguments about how much this or that would cost are as tiring as the constant "racism" charges. It's like you pro-illegal people have only managed to absorb two or three talking points, which you endlessly repeat.
Yes, I've considered these questions, and a lot more that a parrot like you could never imagine, and the cost of deportation is far cheaper than the cost of letting the Mexican invasion continue.

I can tell you that if we took them out of here it would be lwss than what its going to cost us to keep them.
Its in the trillions to keep them.they will just start off with SS where they are and we are paying for them to retire. Our kids wont stand a chance in hell having a retirement or reaping the benefits of SS that WE paid. We will be paying for the illegals.
Further...it should be said, that I know many who are willing to take their own free time and money and go help build the fence, remove the illegals and do what they can. THAT is the American spirit. Its up to the people. The Govt is OUT OF CONTROL on issues that are NOT for them to handle and ignoring things they should be handling.

Voice your opinion against rewarding illegals for breaking the law. Send everyone you know to this petition. I would put the exact link to the site here, but yahoo is blocking that.
The idea of rewarding illegals who broke the law with a path to citizenship is ridiculous. Our government is a worthless disgrace.
