How do I settle in U.S.A (From UK)?
Is there a skilled occupations list that I can see , so I can look if my future employment meets with U.S standards for permenant residence of a foreighn national.
Any info at all would be great.

Unfortunately, legally working in USA is not as clear as the UK's HSMP programme which you might be familiar with. Highly skilled occupations are covered via the 65K cap H1B program. The demand for these visas is so high that they are used up in a matter of 6 weeks last year. This year the prediction is that they will be gone in 3 or 4 weeks. The quota opens on Apr 1st every year. The catch is you cannot file for it but an employer should file it for you. There are body shops all around USA who do that. You should find one soon.
Employment based green card/PR is screwed up big time in US. If you do not have a masters degree or 5+ yrs of exp it will take for ever to become a PR as the visas for those are also used up.
