my wife will apply for us recidency, how ever i need to apply for Affidavit of support. I filled out my imcome tax form as a single person who made 12,k dollars last year. What is the minimum ammount you can make in order to sponsor some one else such as my wife?

I do not believe there is an exact number. It all depends where you live. If you can maintain you and your wife with what you earn it should be sufficient. If you think you need more income. You can ask for a family member to include his/her income.

You have to earn 125% of the current poverty line. The most recent one was 16,500 for a family of two. So, if you had no children, you would've needed to earn 16,500 a year for the last three years. You can however, have a joint sponsor to meet the rest of the amount.
