These days rasicst means you don't agree with me. People are calling people of their own race (nationality) a racist if they don't like what they say.
When people ask what problems are you personally seeing as a result of illegal immigration.....depending on where you live, what the job market is, whether you have kids in school, etc. etc. The vast majority say it's problems specifically towards Mexicans , South Americans etc. Why? Sheer numbers. No one minded living next to a Mexican family who spoke English and who's kids played with yours and were good neighbors. It did matter when it was 2 and 3 families in one house, with 10 cars, a few chickens and drunken parties 24/7 with music blasting and people using your yard as their rest room and running extension cords from your house to lite the increasing numbers of blue tarps being put up to add more sleeping space for more people. Everytime you left something was stolen. They didn't speak English, were rude and really made life unbearable. Cops comming down your street all the time.....People started packing up and moving and before long it's a Mexican area. You eventually can't go anywhere where you hear English. They're pressing bi-lingual education while they are doing nothing to learn English. "Must speak Spanish" starts popping up all over. Crime skyrockets and you're barely safe in your own home. That's what people have experienced. That's how it started when I lived in Florida years ago. We were used to "temporary workers" or "guest workers" being around because we had fernieries there. They used to be very nice and they spoke English and their kids went to school and all were a part of our town. It CHANGED and a totally different type of Mexican people moved in. Drugs, gangs, guns, violence were skyrocketing. It turned into a nightmare. I could write a book on the process and experiences people have had. It was a VERY diverse town and they drove us ALL out. Black, white, asian, and even their own.
So in that instance.....the biggest drain, the biggest problem is a particular group. But I have never said just send the Mexicans back because we have other problems in different ways that affect us as well with other people from other parts of the world that are tied into this illegal immigration and security and laws and cheap labor and on down the line.
It could just as easily be millions and millions of Polish people doing the same thing that the Mexicans are doing and I would still feel just as strongly about it.
I live in a very diverse area. I'm sick and tired of trying to find someone who speaks English. We had Spanish signs everywhere and now we have some others popping up. I don't know what it is. Could be Arabic or Korean. Problem is.....I live in America and I'm quickly becomming a foreigner in my own country. We have a huge illegal problem here but it does include everyone. I don't care where you're from or what color you are. The Mexicans are the biggest group, they are the ones screaming the loudest and causing the biggest problem...so they get the most attention. It certainly doesn't mean I don't feel just as strongly about the others. Look at England. They are having the same exact problems we are and the Mexicans aren't invading there. It's illegal immigration, non enforcement of laws and non assimilation and loss of jobs and quality of life that are tearing these countries apart. Massive immigration, legal and especially illegal is not working. Australia is having the same problems. There's problems in Canada as well. Not as severe yet....but there's a town that has "no burkas allowed". So the issues are still the same.....we just have a different group in each place that is causing the most disruption. I just happen to notice whats shoved in my face and I'm not a racist for seeing it or wanting my laws enforced.
That is the only thing that the pro's have going for them. It's like when you have a valid point about someone and all they can say is some sort of profanity because it's true. Its a defense mechanism. Pay it no mind. Just a sign of their ignorance, and a lack of a valid point with supporting facts.
i am against it and i am not one. obeying laws and expecting others to do so is not a hateful or racist thing.
i guess if you refer to all races of illegal immigrants then yes you can be against without been racist
Because liberals love to label people. They feel that if they label you a racist, it dismisses everything that you have to say.

I do not agree with illegal imigration and am not racist.
My concerns have to do with the burden that is placed upon law abiding citizens that these illegal immigrants impose on our society.
However, if they come here legally, I am fine with them joining our society. I also don't say that our laws are totally right, but they are our laws. Maybe we need to review them, but that does not allow people to break them.

Ofcourse you can. There are people who do things by the rules and there are others who don't. I am not a racist, but illiegal immigration makes me sick. I play by the rules. I work and barely get by, I pay taxes, pay a portion of my healthcare premium, etc. I am not a racist b/c of the fact that I can't stand watching all these people getting everything for free! They get sick and go to the emergency room and they are catered to better than a legal citizen. Then they leave, all better, and without having to pay a bill. They hoard their tax free money that they make at all these under the table jobs. I could go on forever, but I need to go breath and get my bloodpressure to come back down to normal
I agree. I am against illegals and I have been told I am a racist. You know what??? I don't care what people who don't know the laws of our land think. If we continue to allow them here without proper papers, this country will soon be in shambles. Want to come here???, get your s** right or stay home. I´m living proof that it´s possible to be against illegal immigration and not be a racist. My dad is Mexican and so is my husband. My dad legally immigrated to the US and my husband is currently in the process. No one can call me racist.
I am Mexican American and my family has always been in the US before the European ships floated in. I think we need to do something about immigration. We do need to tighten it up especially with all that is happening!! I feel everyone that wants to become an American should have an opportunity to do so as everyone else has. We need to crack down on the companies that employ these people. Yes round up the USERS ( illegal immigrants)..but stamp out the the PUSHERS ( businesses and companies that hire). To want to stop the illegal flood of immigration is not racist.

I am strongly against the illegal alien criminals. It doesn't matter if they are from China, Canada, England, Africa or Peru. It also doesn't matter if they are white, black, brown or purple (that doesn't denote race either).

There are people in this country that have vested interest in a continuing stream of illegal aliens coming into this country. Note: illegals are from every country in the world from Iceland to Somalia in skin tone. One guy where I used to work hired a "house keeper/exchange student" from Norway She came over at fifteen and stayed until she had her RN at 24. He had a studio apartment. She was here for his sexual gratification and admitted it. The garment industry uses them as slave labor and the drug lords use them to run the risks for bringing in large amounts of drugs and running those drugs. Asking the questions we are asking is simplely indications their apple carts are about to overturn. That is a threat to their way of life!
Yes. The key word in your question is ILLEGAL. Most of us just want a stoop put to the ILLEGAL immigration. Last fiscal year the U.S. Border Patrol apprehended ILLEGALS from more than 100 different nationalities. La Raza and other RACIST groups out there have no other means to stop the effort to halt the flow of ILLEGAL traffic.
More Americans are killed annually by ILLEGAL ALIENS in this county than those who are killed abroad in the Iraq war. (This information can be found in an article posted on the National Border Patrol Council Website).
Now while groups like La Raza want to scream racist, they need to look at the racial make up of the Border Patrol. 90 % or better of the rank an file of this agency is of hispanic origin.
Yes, someone can be against illegal immigration and not be a racist. My parents came to the United States by going through the proper channels and are American citizens. It took them years but w/ patience and perseverance they have achieved what they set out to do. I believe illegal immigration is just that - ILLEGAL. Our immigration laws are actually kinder than those of France, Germany, and other European nations. If someone breaks into your house, isn't that wrong? Well, that's what illegal immigration is, someone enters our borders without the courtesy of being asked or invited.

Well, obviously it was your motivation in asking in the question...I have mixed feelings about the whole situation, but you open yourself up to a very controversial issue so I guess you suffer the consequences.
It has nothing to do with race. It legal and illegal, or right, and wrong. If you say anything at all about how they should not be here illegally, your called racist. So in answer, yes you can be against illegal immigration and not be racist. The play the race card, when they have no GOOD answer, as to why are they here illegally.

its not the race is the fact that people are walking over our borders and doing little to help the US. Let them call you a racist, they are fools. Im not racist at all. My family onmy moms side immigrated over about 90 years ago and everyone in my family has a good job and a good education. But these people that hop the border to escape their hardships are now creating hardships for us. I support you 100%.

I have always been against illegal immigration and I am Mexican- American. I was born and raised here and this beautiful country. My parents where born and raised in Mexicon but they emigrated to the U.S. LEGALLY and followed every rule of immigration and became legal citizens. They never went on welfare or abused government assistence programs.
The reason I've been against illegal immigration is because I've heard first hand from people of my own "culture" that they like coming to the U.S. because they know they can come and have their babies here and make them U.S. citizens just by letting them be born here and also that they can take advantage of the good education and all the free services this country has to offer (free medical insurance, food stamps, and more). Then when their bellies are full, they go home.
People are quick to jump and make assumptions. I'm sure I do it too. I'm called white-washed all the time and a *disgrace* to my culture (rolls eyes).
