Does anyone know anything about A-3 visas for the US.?
Answer:
I don't know anything about A-3 visas.. But i'm sure know that your sister have highly chance to sponsor you to go to US. But it takes long time, around 8-10 years for you to be legal in US including working, applying for jobs. Which means you get the green card (permanent residence), but during 8-10 years, you could not go back to your own country, you could do so, but you can't go back in to the US. It really a confusing to do it that way, but still it's better than nothing right? My uncle sponsored my dad from year 2004, and he just got a receipt notice saying that the immigration already got the files. But until now, the immigration still doing the files from April year 2001, so maybe it takes couple more years until my dad's case will be processed.. Good luck for you
I dont know anything about getting here But I Do Hope it works out for ya
I think your confusion is in the alphabet soup of the temporary Nonimmigrant visas versus sponsorship for an immigrant visa/permanent residency (i.e. a "green card").
As the previous poster states, your sister can petition for you, but unless Immigration reform passes, a visa won't be available to you for about 10 years.
The link below gives you a list of the Nonimmigrant (i.e. temporary) visas available. You'll see the A visas are for diplomats and gov. officials. Specifically, the A-3 is for someone is a personal employee/attendant of an A-1 or A-2 visa holder.
