More often than not the diatribe with the question has little to do with the question, answers the so called question or is much too long to read. People get in the habit of looking for the point. If one can't make the point of their question in the question itself than they must elaborate. Sometimes the elaboration just confuses things even more.
Yes, I do read beyond the anchor question, and I don't call others dumb.
Well when the question starts with " hey libs or hey cons " I know the question is from a radical, and I hate radicals and do not care to read the rest of their stupid, self serving question. Okay?
that's why there are Internet blogs and newspapers out there. If someone want to get and give detailed analysis, then YA is not the place. In sum, no, i dont read along winded questions and answers too!

First off, what is your question?
Secondly, who is calling who dumb?
Thirdly, yes, the majority DO read the whole question, including the additions which are added to explain what is being asked. What does this have to do with the immigration section? Sounds more like it should be in the mytend.com section which is to ask questions about this service.

I do read them, and I can't recall if I called anyone dumb...but if I did, they deserve it! A well thought out, informed question/answer is sometimes a scarce commodity here..

When most people ar surfing here they are probably going through a few hundred questions and answers a day or are multi tasking other things at the same time. Therefore they are most likely skimming and scanning questions and answers rather than studying each one carefully. Speed reading courses go over these techniques but do mention if you apply the first two you get a fair idea of the content but can easily miss detail.
I suppose one should make questions short and concise as possible and I found that more often than not, long answers are generally ignored or misinterpreted.
No body should use name calling. First, it is the fallacy ad hominem which destroys the valditiy of the counter argument and second it is plain bad manners that get you no where.

If you post a "dialog" that is too long, don't expect people to read it.
This is Yahoo "Answers", not Yahoo "dialog".the way this is SUPPOSED TO WORK is you ASK a question, and other readers attempt to answer it.
If you want a forum or chat room, you could use one, but that's not what this site is supposed to be for.
