Why do we need the dream act, if amnesty already address that issue?
Answer:
I don't think we need it... I wouldn't vote for it if given the opportunity... its hard enough for tax paying American citizens to put there kids through college with obtaining huge amounts of debt. I don't think that we should take more money for education to give to people who never paid into it... yeah its hard for them too but its hard for Americans as well!
Because there is no amnesty. Because the dream act is designed to help people who were brought over to the US when they were small by their parents. It is designed to encourage these immigrants to get a college education. These kids won't be able to help their parents become permanent residents.
We do not need the dream act, its just another stab to the taxpayers...
Jenny C, I am STILL paying student loans, why shouldn't the children of illegal immigrants do the same??? Jeez how much more do you want? to each illegal immigrant a new Lexus and a house on the beach???
I agree with Jenny C, however, you make the real point in saying that this bill was drafted, not only by La Raza, but by the ACLU and Ted Kennedy, both of which have proven time and again that they are anti-American, and not worthy of our trust. That being said, I can't trust the bill on that basis. In a purely logical manner, though, it seems ok.
