Does anyone know the situation regarding Canadian citizens who wish to emigrate into the United States?

How about if they're already living (but not working) in the U.S?

What is more likely to happen to them in that particular case, do you know?

Can they still apply for legal status/residency/ American citizenship regardless of where they live, even if they deliberately yet illegally prolonged their trip or journey within the U.S?

Serious answers only.

Thanks!

That should inform you more than any answer you might get from this particular website, I'm certain of it!

Good luck to you!
You would need someone to petition for your immigration to the United States (ie some form of family). You could also try for a work visa through your employment. Your illegal status makes you ineligible for immigration and non-immigrant visas, but it can be waived in special circumstances.
